Gingrich: Would Romney Be Trump’s Secretary of State or His Own Secretary of State?

I don't know why Trump is even considering Romney. Romney is weak and would perceived as weak by world leaders. He hates Trump. He would be an awful choice.

Rudy Guliani should be Secretary of State, if he wants it. I can't think of anyone better for the job. He has performed two miracles: cracking the Mafia and cleaning up New York. I think he has more miracles up his sleeve for some of the world's thorniest problems. I can't think of anyone who would get more respect from world leaders.

Trump should stop messing around and make Rudy Secratary of State. He is lucky to have such a tremendous candidate available.

I agree with what some have said that if you must appoint Romney, make him head of the VA or Secretary of the Treasury. We don’t need him in such a big on-camera role.

But they say Trump thinks he “looks the part” out of “central casting.” Trump is in full Apprentice mode and his casting the part based on looks.

Mitt Romney LOST, and when Trump announced, instead of standing with his party, he disassociated himself, and started the #NeverTrumpers....

He endorsed Ted Cruz, had everything rigged here in Utah so Ted Cruz took the 40 delegates from Trump, there were a lot of us that took phone videos of this happening...went to court, and got the 40 delegates back for Trump...

Then what does the rotten POS do, he goes out and gets Egg McMuffin to run against Trump...Egg McMuffin was with John McCain in Iraq with ISIS and Bagdaddie...you can search it and see pictures of them together...

And now he thinks he wants to work in the Trump Administration??? Up his!!! The only work Trump needs to give him is picking up dog poop in the National Park in Iceland!!!

I don’t think he’s jerking Rudy around. Rudy may want Homeland Security as much as SOS...depends on how much travel he wants to engage in. If Rudy would rather not live out of a suitcase, he might prefer Homeland Security.

We just don’t know. I see where Trump is going with his interest in Romney. He wants to go outside the box as much as possible and he wants to “bring America together”. His political instincts are telling him that Romney on his team would help him with tough Senate votes and with quelling rebellions from the old establishment.

In the end though I believe he will probably not go to Romney as much as he’d like to shake everyone up. Romney was too much his own person and too much a real a**hole throughout the campaign. He might decide to bring in someone different from the establishment camp into an important position.

The screwup: At this point, the band launched into “God Save the Queen” — but Obama continued speaking over the music: “. . . for the vitality of the special relationship between our peoples, and in the words of Shakespeare, ‘To this blessed plot, this Earth, this realm, this England.’ To the Queen.” She gave him a look, he set down his glass, and then stood motionless until the music stopped. Then everyone picked up their glasses. Oops.
