The FCC role is to ensure “equal access” for Facebook, Google, Apple etc. They will continue to do the bidding of the content providers.
While the carriers labor away at their 2% margin on investment and are still forced to allow any competitor to use THEIR capital infrastructure to earn money without real investment. Or expertise.
Additionally, the carriers are disincentivized from investing to bring the most advanced of technologies...in fact precluded from doing so...which would allow of full convergence of transport technologies.
A single, nationwide network would be far more efficient, ripe for development, than the 3 independent networks in place today...TV, Internet, Telephone.

Never has this country seen a time with so much filth and lgbt garbage on the set as today. If the FCC can’t keep the public airwaves ‘moral family friendly’ then fire them all.

Absolutely. We can reduce all of our alphabet agencies by half and have nothing but positive results. Heck, if we just eliminate the part of each bureau that politicizes we’ll be ahead.
You could turn all materials over to the ARRL and make them a quasi-government bureau. Maybe they’ll finally do something about 14.313.

But the FCC should not care about what goes over those airwaves, the allocation aspect is what they should be doing.
40 and 80? They probably have a imported plasma TV with zero shielding. They throw out enough RF to give the viewer a tan.
About the only thing the FCC comes even close to doing well is frequency allocation, though even that has issues. It could be handled with a handful of people in some cubicle somewhere.
Getting a HAM license is incredibly easy. You don't even have to know code anymore. A couple of 2-meter handhelds would reach further than you'd likely need.

I s’pose there is an argument for the FDA...foods and drugs cross state borders. And there is a vested national interest in having safe foods and drugs...but the agency should restrict itself to enforcing LAWS passed by the Congress.
