Bernie Sanders should pay Donald Trump a visit
NY Daily News ^ | Nov 24, 2016 | Tracey

Two days after the election, Sanders issued a statement noting Trump’s success at connecting with folks “sick and tired of establishment economics, establishment politics and the establishment media.” Sanders then offered to “work with” him on discrete initiatives.

Trump rode to victory on the strength of rural voters, who turned out in astonishing numbers. Likewise, Sanders was highly popular among many of these same voters during the primary; doubtless a sizable chunk of his former supporters ultimately opted for Trump. In Michigan alone, which sealed Hillary’s loss after Trump scored an upset, a jaw-dropping 87,810 voters cast a ballot but left the presidential field blank.

( Trump wins MI by a little more than 10,000 votes )

I believe Bernie would have beat Trump, but Queen Hillary and the crooked DNC played the same game the GOP likes to play....like when McCain and like when Dole were the presidential candidates. These people, in the Party's eye had earned the right to run because....well, just because.

Trump beat out every GOP challenger and won.....the DNC shot themselves, figuratively speaking, in the head with the DNC Coronation of Skankles....

Bernie would have won...I am Thankful he was not in the General Election....and I am Thankful there is an Electoral College.

My 1st post in 2 years. Was Trump supporter from day 1.

Be Thankful on Thanksgiving. Pray.

“Bernie Sanders should pay Donald Trump a visit”

At least he won’t have to pay Trump FOR a visit.

I absolutely agree. I was telling people from Day 1 that they better hope that Bernie doesn’t win the primary or that Clinton doesn’t get an indictment, because Bernie would’ve won in the general election. Lots of coworkers and neighbors who are low info but at the same time supported DJT just didn’t understand and probably never will. The ignorance amazes me.

I’m thinking the Bernie’s contract with the Witch to trade his support for a new house also excludes him from making nice with Trump.

There is not enough Xanax in the world for the Bernouts if they see Bernie going up the gold elevator

I don’t think he would have won, but I do agree that Trump should talk to him because there are some areas of common ground. BTW, the non-Hillary left should be celebrating Trump’s win. By decapitating the corrupt Clinton machine Trump has made it possible for the Bernie/Stein left to have a fair shot at influence within the D party. He’s done the same thing for the non GOPe/non-Bushies.

The ignorance amazes me.

It shouldn't. Progressives have been diligently developing it for a century.

I think it is possible Sanders would have beaten Trump. Biden/Warren? Unquestionably. Landslide.

We are SO fortunate the Democrats nominated a sick old hag guilty of multiple felonies.

Yeah, we should be giving thanks to Debbie Wasserman Schultz and the DNC. They sealed their own fate. So you know that a higher being was in control of this election from the start.

I, too, was a Trump supporter from the very beginning.
Bernie got his “20 pieces of silver”.
Let him rot with it. His supporters should take note of it.
Trump, on the other hand, isn’t a communist and actually loves America and her People. Bernie? Not so much.
Bernie just needs to stay home and rot.

I agree!
Saying that Bernie is a socialist or communist means nothing to the Low-Info voter. These terms are just words to these people. Any other terms describing governing systems are meaningless to them also. If they vote they’re “shiny object” voters, meaning they last thing that gets their attention before they vote is how they will vote. This is why I am opposed to voter registration drives all it does is increase that number.

A co-worker who supports DJT kept wringing his hands about poll numbers leading up to the election. I told him to discount the numbers, and that the only poll that matters is Nov 8. He doubted me. He told me that he gets his news from NBC and MSNBC. He didn’t know who Jeffrey Epstein or George Soros is. He never even heard of the Clinton Foundation.

Yes...Bernie going up the Golden Elevator would cause seizures...but Bernie could hold a press conference and maybe do well, while still being true to the Heart of Bernie.

The Higher Power...Yes, the Mighty Hand was in play.

I hope Trump has a spiritual mentor and I hope and pray he uses his spiritual mentor.
I do believe he is a Christian...a baby Christian....and that’s okay with me.

I don’t think anyone would have beaten Trump. He would have found a way. Sanders is an empty vessel, Hillary didn’t attack him so he had no negatives attached to him. Trump would have gone after him hard and forced him to defend 90% tax etc. Hillary probably got a lot more moderates than Bernie could have gotten. All of this is also true for Warren, we know nothing about her, just that she is pretty much a socialist, Trump would have hit her hard, relentlessly for months and the whole country would be laughing at the fact that she calls herself an “native American”. It would have been a major internet meme. He would also hang socialist policies around her neck. Biden would have probably been the toughest for Trump because he’s not AS overtly socialist as the other two but Trump would have run the same game against him. His negatives were not very high because he was just on the ride to the white house in the Obama wave and no one payed him any attention (like Pence). Remember, Hillary’s polls were great when she was picked as SOS because everyone was focused on positive things when Obama just won. Just like how everyone in the media LOVES Mitt right now but savaged him when he was running against their guy.

I agree he wouldn’t have won. You can say for Bernie, though, that he has never sold his office or left anyone in doubt about what he believes (which is why he could easily have been beaten). The Clintons are an entirely different story.
