Trump’s populism is about to face a rude awakening (Liberal delusion alert)
WaPo ^ | 11/29/16 | O'Brien

Insofar as Trump campaigned as a different kind of Republican, one who would rebuild our infrastructure, wouldn't touch Medicare, and would slap tariffs on companies that shipped jobs overseas, this sets up a potential showdown with his ostensible allies. Sure, Trump is on board with their big tax cut for the rich, but what about the rest of their agenda? Does he really want to get rid of Obamacare? Or voucherize Medicare? Or possibly privatize Social Security? And do they want to threaten a trade war against our own companies and other countries? In other words, will Trump change the Republican Party, or will the Republican Party change Trump?

It’s good to know what the left’s leading propaganda mills are saying, but I wish it were possible to keep tabs on them without giving them additional traffic.

If the editors of the WaPo had spend the past decade on Mars, they’d be more in touch with what average Americans want than those who spent that decade inside the Beltway.

When Trump talks, it is news.

He has power now that CNN for example; can’t neutralize or marginalize or ignore.

Get used to it.

“Millions of illegal voters”: a troll.

“Rapists and drug dealers”: a partial troll.

“I like war heros who were not captured”: a troll.

They can HUFF
and they can PUFF

But their politics of division and big government socialism simply do not work. They really need to look at election results over the past many years when THEY held all the power.

What most people do not know is that Federal employees, particularly Congress critters, DO have a what amounts to a private retirement fund: it’s called the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP).
It allows employees to invest a portion of their income (paid by taxpayers!) into an account of their choosing, and at a level of risk, also at their choosing.
With all the info Congress critters have through insider
trading access, I bet their TSP account totals are in the hundreds of thousands.
I personally know one Postal worker whose TSP account earned $50,000 in just 7 years!
Would LOVE to ask Harry Reid, or Nancy Pelosi, how much they have in their TSP accounts!!!

They just don't get it.

Nope, they are totally disconnected from the real world. With every announcement or statement of policy I've heard from President-elect Trump, I've heard rumblings from multiple people that he is becoming more popular, not less. This from some people who did not even vote for him. Heard one friend say outright "Gee, I kind of wish I had voted for him. Oh well, glad he won, I think he'll do okay." She had voted for a third party candidate. Interesting, she did not vote for Clinton...

Insider trading does no good for TSP accounts.

TSP only offers about 6 different options. The options are like mutual funds, but with very limited diversity.

Insider trading is useless because each fund has hundreds if not thousands of stocks in it.
