He’s in a better position than Reagan was in in 1980 but it looks like he’s still having to make a few compromises in order to get the RINOs on board.

If only we had a conservative majority instead of a plurality we wouldn’t need to do this.

Still, I like more than half these names, especially Sessions, so I’ll take it.

as long as Willard M Romney and Bob Corker aren’t picked for anything major, I’m good with most of the rest...

Elaine Chao...GAG ME!

WOW...SO disappointed...this makes NO sense, except to kiss Mitch McConnell’s ass! His wife...Elaine Chao is an open border, amnesty loving Chinese immigrant...she’s the worst kind of globalist. That’s STRIKE TWO, DONALD...you’re almost OUT! But maybe she can’t screw up Transportation like she did the Labor Dept...when she wanted all illegals to have all the same rights as US workers, and worse!

BONE HEADED MOVE, MR. Trump.

Yes, it is “Chow” in the original. Townhall definitely needs an editor.

Small Business Administration Administrator

Who's going to be running the Department of Redundancy Department? What there needs to be is a chief bureaucracy trimmer. I guess that's OMB.

Disagree. Mrs. McConnell won’t have anything to do with immigration, unless God forbid she becomes president a la that lame series starring Kiefer Sutherland. As Reagan said, “My 80% friend isn’t my 20% enemy”.

Mrs. Submareener worked in Elaine Chao’s DOL. She told me that the bureaucrats were always complaining, while riding in the elevators, about her wanting “results” and how terrible that was. Actually, Mrs. Submareener was high enough up in the DOL hierarchy to be among the dozen or so who were invited to Elaine Chao’s dedication of the 9/11 memorial at the DOL HQ in Washington, DC. She also had lunch with her several times.

Mrs. Submareener is an extremely good judge of character, so when she says Elaine Chao is “good people”, it is good enough for me.

Also, catnipman made these good points on another thread: Chao is a brilliant appointment that joins the Senate Majority Leader to President Trump’s hip right from the gitgo, and nearly guarantees that Mitch delivers the entire GOP Senate to Trump on nearly every issue for four years.

Not to mention, the woman has excellent experience and credentials, and clearly has amazing political instincts and capabilities since she’s pretty much the power that’s pushed the Mitch throne into the forefront since she married him in 1993.

Also, do keep in mind that Cabinet heads exist SOLELY to carry out a President’s orders. Period. They’re like VPs in a corporation who exist solely to implement the CEO’s policy and philosophy. Their jobs are NOT to set policy and philosophy, but to IMPLEMENT policy and philosophy. They all know that when they’re appointed.

Don’t. JUST don’t.

I’ve had faith for 16 months! Doesn’t excuse this. Elaine Choa...MRS. Mitch MCCONNELL is bad news.

I hope Trump’s dinner with Romney is to let down easy. Can’t you just hear the dems in the hearings? “Mr. Romney, do you still believe Trump is unfit to be president?”
