Democrats for decades have advocated that those who did not vote... voted for them (as do the dead and non-citizens). So why not just count non-votes as Democrat votes... so “democracy can always prevail”.

Many people didn’t vote because the Media told them the result was a foregone conclusion: Hillary had it “in the bag.” This was a MSM tactic to suppress republican vote, but it may have backfired — diminishing their own vote far more. O Happy Day!
Young people did not like Clinton.
They may not have liked Trump either but they were not going to turn out in droves for Clinton. I have millennials in my family and to a one they did not vote at all for Clinton. They either didn’t vote or voted for Stein.
