I just had an epiphany. Israel should bomb the UN. We know they’d be accurate and effective. That would remove it from the US and solve many of both the US and Israel’s political problems. It’d be a two’fer.

I have to respectfully disagree, the old saying is true ... “Keep your friends close but your enemies closer”.
I think he should build a new UN Headquarters on one of the barrier islands off the coast, move their sorry A$$es to it, eliminate their “Diplomatic Immunity”, and make them get visas to come into this Country. That would (1) put a lot of construction companies to work, (2) get the spies out of the Country, (3) cut our cost to maintain the UN buildings, and (4) keep them where we can keep an eye on them.

This has probably appeared on the forum around 15 years.
It expresses my thoughts.
At the same time, there is danger here too.
If the U.S. does not have the ability to exercise it's veto power, Russia, China, and others could really harm our interests.
I honestly don't know how to effectively withdraw without leaving ourselves wide open.
If someone else can explain a way, I'd love to hear it.
Before Israel took this land, Syrian soldiers would rain sniper shots on Israeli citizens in the valley. there is practically nothing on the high ground except for destroyed Syrian army positions.
The Israelis that lived in the valley had to plant eucalyptus trees as vertical cover so they could work the land. Many slept in underground shelters for fear of being shelled from the heights.
When you go to the top of the heights it is striking to compare Israeli land to Syrian land on the other side. The Israel side is green and productive farm land. The Syrian side is brown dirt. Syria has access to the same irrigation technology. Syrian elite want their people poor and resentful of the Israelis.
