Khalid Sheik Mohammed: George W. Bush's Shock and Awe Response to 9/11 Prevented Other Attacks

Far from trying to draw us in, KSM said that al-Qaeda expected the United States to respond to 9/11 as we had the 1983 bombing of the Marine barracks in Beirut — when, KSM told Mitchell, the United States ‘turned tail and ran.’

‘Then he looked at me and said, ‘How was I supposed to know that cowboy George Bush would announce he wanted us ‘dead or alive’ and then invade Afghanistan to hunt us down?’’ Mitchell writes. ‘KSM explained that if the United States had treated 9/11 like a law enforcement matter, he would have had time to launch a second wave of attacks.’ He was not able to do so because al-Qaeda was stunned ‘by the ferocity and swiftness of George W. Bush’s response.’

I think the Saudis had Bush over a barrel. I think they threatened something he held dear, perhaps this country. No one really knows how many terror cells is in the United States but I bet it’s in the hundreds.

No idea how this “mastermind” could not understand this would be viewed as a Pearl Harbor and get the same response. Beirut was a very different story and would be for any country. When your troops are attacked overseas, it seems logical to assume you should bring them back home where they’re safe. Once an enemy makes the homeland unsafe, there is no choice but to invade and attack them.

And why is this guy still alive? He should be dead and buried at this point. We’ve gleaned all the intelligence we can from him by now.

The Saudis have owned the Executive branch for at least sixteen years. They were expecting that arrangement to continue.

If Trump is the object of an authentic assassination attempt, it’s the Saudis.

Make me POTUS tomorrow and by noon I’ll have B-2’s bouncing the rubble of the former palace of the House of Saud.

“One of the best things I’ve read about George W. Bush.”

The problem I have with all of it is 1) The cozy relationship between the Booshes and the Saudis which “kept” W from attacking Saudi Arabia, the true source of Islamo-terrorism and 2) The fact that when it came to actually winning in Iraq and Afghanistan, Boosh didn’t have a workable plan.

“If Gore had won we would be in bad bad shape.”

Yes, but because of Boosh’s unwillingness or ineptitude (or both) he managed t give us 8 years of Obola and that was unforgivable. So thus far, we are sixteen years into this century and have absolutely NOTHING to show for ALL of those years except our dead children and a mountain of debt! Think of it! How big a percentage of your life does sixteen years represent? It’s nearly 20% of my lifetime! Will you even be around for another sixteen” I doubt that I will, and it pisses me off that thanks to the Clintons, the Booshes, Obola, and the assholes in this country who voted for them, wehave lost those sixteen precious years!

LE is simply disfunctional under terror attacks because LE is directly targeted and thus cannot focus on crime fighting but fighting a war.

It is a complete euphemism to say we wont involve the military against terror when we then turn LE into an instrument of war and military, doing both jobs of LE and war... something illegal, by the way.

All these are former colonial district of western Europe which were then handed as Soviet colonies unde the Affirmative Action like hypocrit PC mantra of “Third World”, ie. letting local thugs run these multiethnic colonies... because when blacks or arabs run a colony, it is so much more PC a plantation!!!

Iraq and Afghanistan should have been broken down into their respective ethnies and this colonial framework broken up, or, alternatively, the rhetoric of colonisation be left to imperialistic UN , Soviets and Chinese.

But big business globalists and their foundations want everyone to get along and manage things, not realizing the UN is a mean for socialists to pretend to be pro-business when they want its destruction.

Carbon credit is another such scheme...

Keep in mind there is a battle within Islam for Islamic supremacy and the Sunni are only half the equation. The Sunni must show their rivals the Shia that their methods are better, while the Shia under Iran (and the ruling 12er Sect in particular) bide their time building arms to strick a blow that will make all Sunni efforts look like children playing Cowboys and Indians - thus winning the rivalry and leading Islam to its glorious conquest of all humanity, plunging all into Paradise (aka, human extinction).

I have said all along that
1) The 9/11 response was as quick and effective as we could make it. Anyone who thinks we could have put 10,000 men on the ground in Tora Bora anytime short of late 2002 is deluded.

2) I still say Bush’s Iraq response, though it turned out badly, was the ONLY response ANY responsible president would have to ALL the intel that said Saddam had, and was willing to share, WMDs.

Yes, I think Bush prevented innumerable other attacks from Bin Laden.
