The electoral college should be unfaithful

If you thought Donald Trump was the face of America’s anti-establishment movement, hold on to your chapeaus: A wild wind is rising.

Want to know what’s more anti-establishment than a president-elect who refuses to play by the rules? How about similarly spirited electors going AWOL and sending someone else to the Oval Office?

Could it happen? Might.

A movement headed by a mostly Democratic group calling itself Hamilton Electors is trying to persuade Republican electors to defect — not to cede the election to Hillary Clinton but to join with Democrats in selecting a compromise candidate, such as Mitt Romney or John Kasich. It wouldn’t be that hard to do.

Mathematically, only 37 of Trump’s 306 electors are needed to bring his number down to 269, one less than the 270 needed to secure the presidency.

On the Hamilton Electors’ Facebook page, elector Bret Chiafalo, a Democrat from Washington, explains the purpose of the electoral college. If you haven’t previously been a fan of the electoral system, you might become one.

Bottom line: The Founding Fathers didn’t fully trust democracy, fearing mob rule, and so created a republic. They correctly worried that a pure democracy could result in the election of a demagogue (ahem), or a charismatic autocrat (ahem), or someone under foreign influence (ditto), hence the rule that a president must have been born in the United States. We know how seriously Trump takes the latter.

Most important among the founders’ criteria for a president was that he (or now she) be qualified. Thus, the electoral college was created as a braking system that would, if necessary, save the country from an individual such as, frankly, Trump.

Of course.

We would have been depressed about it but we would have accepted the result and moved on.

Not with the anti-Trump crowd.

Faithless Electors are themselves incompetent and need to resign after their 15 minutes of fame are up, but before the vote. Impeached they should be.

A wild wind is rising.>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Can you imagine what would happen in the USA if Bret Chiafialo and others like him achieved absolute power over the executive branch of government?

We ahev had enough of totalitarian whining about finalsolutions. The People have spoken according to the Constitution.

These iberal fascists need to go into the dustbin of history. The American left needs to simply slide into the existential oblivion that has ever been awaiting them as betrayers of the Constitution and of America itself.

Into the crapper lefties.

Get thee gone.

The wild wind has arisen, and its not blowing for thee Chiafellatio.

We are saying goodbye to liberal fascism that we had been warned about:

Read about it here:

Yep and it has much to do with the Amendment found between the First and Third on the document known as the Bill of Rights.

It will be a live demonstration on how exactly that Amendment works.

Then what's the point of having it?

There really isn't any point to having human electors.

However, there is a point to having the vote spread out geographically, rather than being simply a national popular vote. Urban cesspools should not decide the election by mere (fraudulent) excess votes! Candidates should be forced to campaign in the hinterlands, not just the corrupt big cities!

The electoral vote should be tallied by congressional district. One electoral vote per district carried plus two extra for carrying the majority of a state's CDs, or, in the event of a tie in the state's CDs, the state's popular vote. The results should be automatic. No need for human electors to be bribed or threatened or simply go faithless.

Such a scheme would firewall vote-fraud schemes to the CDs in which they are perpetrated. However efficient, the maximum damage any vote-fraud situation could do would thus be limited to the CDs in which it takes place. By itself, it could not swing a state, much less the nation.

Of course, the above isn't going to happen without a constitutional amendment.

The Soro’s people (lets call them what they are shall we) have been pushing hard on the Hispanic electors who were probably placed there intentionally before the election for obvious reasons.

> Unfaithful electors, to many? Recipe for Civil war

It's Soro's using his Millenial / Gen X homonazis army to push this $hit again. Probably offering huge cash incentives to flip their votes. Audit any vote flipper' bank accounts and out them.

It is popular to advocate abrogation of state law relating to its popular vote. Many states say they will give the electors to the LOSER in that state, if the LOSER gets a majority of votes in other states.

Universal suffrage is a real problem, but Parker doesn't want to admit that and take the franchise away from the ignorant mob.

Typical dingbat liberal.

Looks like the writer is making up the rules and then declaring that the illegitimate rules are not being followed!

It is like children making up rules during a game to make sure that they win.

"Please refrain from even putting anything like that out there."

They have been pushing this since the evening of 11/8. The Secret Service has been running themselves ragged tracking down threats. I'm honestly surprised no retarded college student hasn't tried it, yet, given the encouragement of all his tenured professors, all the Media, the President, the DNC, SPLC, 20,000,000 illegals, the BLM, Clinton Crime Cartel and every BA major in the Continental US.

The Law Of Unintended Consequences indicates that if ********** were to happen, the nation would soon be wading in oceans of Socialist body fluids.

Obama's sales efforts would come out of closets and safes, and registered democrats will cease to exist, as a species. The Left, stuck on the down side of the Bell Curve, does not understand this, to us, obvious resultant. A-B=C.

The Elephant in the Room is whether a eugenic solution to the concept of (D) would be a necessarily bad thing.

Morality is Subjective.

It one's look like there's some meddling with the electors going on from the state of Colorado. These guys all initially voted for Trump. Nowvthy've changed their minds, eh? I mean just about all of them have Latinoblood in them it seems and NOW they are teaming up with another one of those Soro's sounding activist race baiting groups named "Unite for America" (like Soros wants anyone to unite with America; these guys and their misnamed groups). Underhanded strategy the traitor elictors plan to use to get more electors on board to dump Trump. From the article:

http://www.coloradoindependent.com/162679/electoral-college-revolt-colorado-electors-hamilton

"Part of that strategy is to get as many of the 538 national electors as possible talking by setting up a private conference call. Web developers are also working on a secure system for them to communicate electronically, Micheal Baca said, and lawyers are working on legal strategies for potentially faithless electors in the 29 states with laws binding electors to whoever won the state. The group Hamilton Electors is also partnering with Unite For America, a national network of anti-Trump organizers to foster dialogue."

Hillary won Colorado. Its nine electors will vote for her. Hillary electors encouraging others to not vote for Trump? Knock me over with a feather!
