WASHINGTON - A D.C. police officer who rose to a pivotal role within the police department was suspended, but is now back on the streets after taking under-aged interns to a bar and even worse.

She was born Billy, but is now Sergeant Jessica Hawkins, and her coming out as a transgender woman has been chronicled by many local and national media outlets.

Back in the late 70's or early 80's I was at a bar in Georgetown called the apple pie. There were three pretty decent young ladies at the end of the bar, but the more I drank the less attractive they became. I finally asked the bartender what he was putting in the beer, because it was having the opposite affect you usually experience with beer and women. He laughed and said look at the hands. I was at the age where I was still kind of naive, however, when I looked at the hands I knew they were male hands and not female hands.

But honestly from where I was sitting they were nice looking women. Needless to say, I moved along to another bar.
