Didn’t I read that Trump’s IQ is 154?
Thought I saw that during the campaign.
He’s creating a perception he can use to his advantage. Everything he does is thought out - even appearing to be a wild man and someone you don’t to cross. All done for a purpose.
Trump had the leftist MSM begging him this week to investigate Democrat voter fraud1 Genius.
You are correct. Most liberals are beyond reach.
But by using the low-information networks, Trump speaks directly and clearly to millions who have never actually listened to him speak his mind.
Once again, Trump finds a new way to go around the lying media and speak to a new audience without a filter. Some in this audience will pay attention. Those who do will see reality.
That of course excludes hardcore liberals and other leftists.

I think his bluster about Europe is leveled to achieve the same sort of thing you mentioned with the press.
They are having to sit up and take notice. There has already been talk of European nations paying more for mutual defense.
That’s what he wanted, and he’s already got that conceded before sitting down to talk.
At the same time, he has Nervous Nellies braying at the Moon over what a crass know-nothing he is, having missed the dynamics in play by a mile.
He’s ten Chess moves ahead.
If the transcript is fairly accurate, Trump didn’t lose any ground, and he gave at least as well as he took; didn’t let himself get shoved around, and persisted to finish each exchange with his version of the answer.
I don’t remember his IQ level, but I always take those estimations with a grain of salt.
I’ve seem some supposedly very smart people, act like absolute fools.
I’d rather have a 120 IQ and make sheer genius decisions.

After 150 IQ is very difficult to measure and tends to have areas that are very high with other areas low. 150+ is the usual notation given
It runs in our family. Some are maybe genius in math but can’t spell. Nephew 150+ speaks just like Trump, jumping from subject to subject, can quote anything he reads verbatim but had a great deal of difficulty learning to read. — go figure.
If Trump's objective was to speak to liberals you would be correct.
My favorite part was at the end when he really rubbed it in about the true size of the inauguration crowd.

What impressed me was that DJT made it clear he was not going to allow the voters, the American peoples’ choice, to be demeaned. That we would not be forgotten again. That the true importance of the crowd size was NOT Trump’s ego, but the vast representation behind his election.

Trump does a good job reaching people directly through his tweets. Granted, few liberals are probably following him, but the tweets do get incredibly wide circulation.
Sadly, the attention span of most Americas is very short and most people are unlikely to make the effort to actually listen to his objectives, logic, and proposed actions. Tweets are probably more effective than the mass media. ;)
