PHILADELPHIA ― President Donald Trump appeared before a supportive group of lawmakers at the congressional GOP’s annual retreat Thursday to cheer on his own anti-trade, anti-immigration, anti-Obamacare rhetoric. But there was a key difference between his usual speeches and the one he delivered here: Republicans now have the ability to make law.

“We’re actually going to sign the stuff that you’re writing,” Trump said to House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.). “You’re not wasting your time!”

My favorite parts:

He said Congress would build the Keystone XL pipeline ― exclusively with U.S. steel, in fact, even though that would be a violation of World Trade Organization agreements on favoring domestic goods. Republicans, many of whom have advocated for trade their entire political careers, clapped anyway.

Emphasis mine. A violation of WTO agreements? Oh noes! Impeach him! Impeach him now! We can't put American jobs above the WTO!

And Trump said he would deport undocumented immigrants who have committed crimes ― “They’re going to be gone, fast” ― and Republicans cheered.

Because God forbid we deport criminal illegal aliens.

Whoops! The Thousand-Year-Reich has been interrupted. Losing sleep over the end of the Senate filibuster? How easily and lawfully Trump is undoing Obama's illegal and overreaching diktats? That the imminently fully-staffed Supreme Court will continue to "legislate from the bench" but in ways not to your liking? That Congressional return to "regular order" will mean that bills will be discussed and debated and amended in good faith? That Trump is fully within his Presidential rights to use "his phone and his pen" to stop the flow of criminals (or as you call them, "voters") from Mexico and the Middle East?

By "anti-immigration" they mean "ILLEGAL voting, which we applaud."

And while we have the Soros-funded agitators showing up to protest the so-called "Muslim Ban", I fully expect that behind the scenes, undocumented immigrants who have committed crimes are being dealt with quietly.
