Monday in California at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, former Obama White House chief of staff and current Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel said Democrats needed to “take a chill pill” and prepare for a long-term build up of the party. Emanuel said, “2016, now Democrats are in the lowest level since 1928 in the House of Representatives and the lowest level since 1925 in the state houses. Not really good.” adding,”It is hard to image it getting lower.”

If the Senate results are the same as the Presidential vote, the Republicans will have 61 votes.
We as Democrats like to walk around ideally — No you got to be ruthless enough. We recruited people who matched the district. If you’re running in a Republican district, you got to get at somebody who can win in a Republican district. Winning is everything. You don’t win, you can’t make the public policy.
Now is the time to start taking control of the education industry and make sure it ceases being a means of indoctrination where we pay liberals to turn our children into future Marxists, for instance. Further, use every media outlet available to expose the left to further undermine their support; show the voters the real harm they've suffered at the hands of Democrat would-be totalitarians, etc. etc.

I see it as REALLY, REALLY GOOD, and I imagine it getting far worse, which is REALLY, REALLY, REALLY GOOD.
No, the lowest level since the last Congress, when we had 6 more seats. And lower also than the Congress elected in 2010, in which we had 1 more seat. Come on.
I've also heard it said many times that this is the first time since the Hoover administration that we've had the White House and both Houses of Congress, which is also not true, Bush's middle 4 years had majorities in both houses. It wasn't that long ago!
True. But it is the first time since the Congress elected in 1928 that we’ve been able to hold Democrats to under 200 House seats two elections in a row.
