ANN MILLER: “TOO DARN HOT” Ann was known in the Sixties for the TV commercial directed by Stan Freberg where she turned a simple act in the kitchen “into a big production.” This is from the 1953 MGM film. This is one of Cole’s better jazz numbers.

MEL TORME: “TOO DARN HOT” This recording speeds it up to the point where it smokes! This is a Progressive Jazz take on the tune, and the sidemen are just as much fun as Mel. He even turns to scat singing!
