Simon & Schuster cancels book deal with Milo Yiannopoulos
Washington Times ^

First CPAC, now Simon & Schuster.

Milo Yiannopoulos lost a second gig Monday afternoon over his remarks defending underage pederasty, when Simon & Schuster cancelled plans to publish a book by the gay conservative provocateur this summer.

Adam Rothberg of the publisher’s public relations department made the announcement on Twitter Monday afternoon.

“After careful consideration @simonschuster and its @threshold_books have cancelled publication of Dangerous by Milo Yiannopoulos,” Mr. Rothberg wrote.

“Dangerous,” a title playing off of Mr. Yiannopoulos’s “Dangerous Faggot Tour,” had been set by a June 13 release by Threshold, the conservative- Yiannopoulos was recently disinvited from the Conservative Political Action Conference after a podcast emerged in which he appeared to endorse sexual relationships between “younger boys and older men”.

He said young boys "discover who they are" through such relationships. And even if they are sexual in nature can "give them security and safety and provide them with love and a reliable rock where they can't speak to their parents".

Yiannopoulos' $250,ooo book deal was met with significant criticism because much of he espouses racist, sexist, and transphobic from his prominent platform.

How revisionist of you! You didn't vote for GWB? Or the father? Or support their wars? Or remember a young Andrew Sullivan on Crossfire singing the praises of Mrs. Thatcher and conservatism? How prescient of you!

What, you don’t like Wolves? Maybe you’d enjoy my little ponies better. I’m sure the Bronies would love to have a guy like you join their ranks.

Please show me how Milo got Trump elected?  I really want to know.  Do we have poll data on it?

I wish I knew myself.  Polling data might suggest what people decided in their secret ballots, but I don't think many pollsters asked what people influenced them.   My hunch is MILO's up there in the top 100 influencers of the election, especially among millenials.

I attended MILO's speech at Georgia State University and reported on it in FR (below). He spoke to about 500 students, Georgia party influentials, and curous gray hairs like me:

MILO Pumps Up Millennials For Trump at Georgia State Rally

We can be almost certain that MILO was a bigger vote contributor than CPAC, Mitt Romney, John McCain, Erik Erickson, Hugh Hewitt, Glenn Beck -- in fact, all the Never Trump traitors whose conservative careers died in the Titanic disaster (picture of them in the link below):

Titanic GOP Elite Liner Sinks After Collision with Trump on His Maiden Voyage in Politics

The power of MILO was he crushed the stereotype of the Leftist because he's gay.  But more than that. His reasoning power and his ability to "edutain" people about politics is extraordinary.

His defense of the unborn was a key message in his recent speech at the University of Colorado. Anybody who has not heard the guy speak at one of the colleges should do so. Yeah, some of his gay jokes disgust me, but once you get over that, he's terrific, IMHO.

And anybody whose opinions and defense of Deplorables stirs up the hatred of so many Leftist is a hero for our cause.

Actually, what put Trump over the top was Trump and more Trump and a truly lousy Democratic candidate. I don’t think Eric Erickson, Glenn Beck or Milo had anything to do with this election. If you enjoyed Milo’s speech more power to you. But I don’t think he had anything to do with this election.

I like that: ‘Edutain’.

Perfect approach to a sector which, sadly, routinely expresses itself within a 140 character limit.

What almost cost Trump the election was a shit ton of never Trump “conservatives” who are welcome with open arms at cpac this year.

"He has now clarified 3 times what he thinks about pedophilia. Why doesnt the side he has been fighting for and winning give him the benefit of the doubt and support him instead of handing his head to the Left?"

Thank you, we should be praying for him. This is exactly what the left wants, get his own to hate him because they can't win against him. He used lazy language on a matter very personal to him. He has said the "age of consent" is about right and has turned in multiple pedos.

Don’t spread fake news. If you want to call Milo or anyone else out, use real names. Otherwise you’re just like cnn

I agree with you about ‘Trump and more Trump’ - I don’t think we’ve ever seen such an energetic presidential candidate; and as Rush said the other day, he expressed his ideas and plans more fully than any candidate that we’ve ever seen. He talked plainly and without end to the people he was trying to reach.

But I think that Milo’s ‘campaign’ helped a lot, and may help a lot more in the future. I remember clearly how eye-opening various influences were, when I encountered them as a young University student, and how many stuck with me over the years, and even unto today.

But millennials didn’t vote. They never vote. Milo had no influence on them except for a small amount of young Republicans who would have voted even if the dullest Republican had spoken at their schools. It was the white middle class who put Trump in office. Believe me, if Milo had this huge (YUGE!) impact on the vote, Trump would have had him at the WH. I notice he hasn’t bothered with him (thank God!)

I know what you mean. I went through this when I didn’t trust that creep Beck years ago. One thing: they never remember when you turn out right, lol. Only when you turn out wrong-o.

I think Milo has made a lot of young people think new and different thoughts, and in many cases vote. We’ll have to disagree on his impact.

And, it would have been politically nuts for Trump to have Milo to the White House, even if Milo HAD been a ‘Yuge’ influence.

(In the case, I’m pretty sure Milo would have understood that, too.)

Congratulations Milo, you can now self-publish and receive substantial book royalties while suing your former publishers for breaching the contract.

Like Prince Milo cares. His bargaining position is stronger now than when he signed the deal and he can get more money now.
