California Bans Students From Traveling To ‘Anti-LGBT’ States

California has created a travel ban of its own, which prohibits its own public university students from traveling to “anti-LGBT” states.

The law that went into effect Jan. 1 prohibits state-funded travel to states that are not LGBT-friendly, the Los Angeles Times reported Tuesday.

The law prevents students of the University of California and California State University from traveling to four states outlined by California attorney general Xavier Becerra, including Kansas, Mississippi, North Carolina and Tennessee.

The California State University intends to follow this new state law, a university spokesperson tells The Daily Caller.

“Inclusivity and diversity are fundamental values of the California State University. California State University wants students to participate in opportunities that support and further their academic success and the university will follow the law. CSU will encourage students to seek opportunities in states where travel is not prohibited,” California State University told TheDC.

“Inclusivity and diversity are fundamental values of the California State University.”

No, they aren’t. But hypocrisy and pervertedness are.

Could Kalifornia extend the same courtesy to Kalifornians who are moving from there to these States, please?

We already have enough from there. Besides, others are pouring in from other Liberal rat holes like New York and New Jersey who are taking up the slack!

Dangerously close to violating the Constitution. Only Congress has the authority to regulate interstate commerce.

Yep.

Today Pres. Trump is doing away with Obama’s transgender bathroom policy. Does this mean California should expand its ban on students traveling to “anti-LGBT” states to now include the entire country?

So, I suppose this means that any student receiving state aid in the form of grants cannot travel to these states for any reason while they are still in the state university system. Right?

Brilliant so their health science students can’t travel to NIEHS, the EPA National Health and Environment Labs, RTP biotech/pharma facilities, or conferences/events at Duke, UNC, NC State, Wake Forrest. So smart. and I am assuming that if their CA public U. football, basketball, etc. teams are scheduled against any schools in those states, their team, band, and cheerleaders can’t go either.

It does cross a constitutional line. Students are not state employees.

Not to mention what this does to athletic teams.

It’s not really regulating interstate commerce. If they take money from the state, the state can set the conditions.

So, traveling from slave states to free states is right out?

Sounds vaguely familiar. Like the Fugitive Slave Act of 1850, except students cannot travel from perverted states to non-perverted states.

They can restrict student travel where the trip is financed by the university, but if they tried to control where I went on my own dime, I’d end up owning that university.

Yet these same vermin would scream foul if federal money is possibly withheld from, say, a sanctuary city. Buffoons the lot of them.

California is so “inclusive” that it excludes travel to certain states.
