Think of what the press has done in the United States,” she said citing the Watergate scandal.

Gins - the 70s called - they want their chance again

Actually it would be 6 to 3 conservative, you’re forgetting about the Scalia replacement.

. "I read the Washington Post and the New York Times every day, and I think that the reporters are trying to tell the public the truth," she said.

We usually associate aging with the acquisition of wisdom, but I have to say she's as dumb as a box of rocks.

I see Ginsberg says she reads the NYT and the Washington Post for her news.....both purveyors of fake news.

She cites the Watergate scandal as evidence for the need for a free press. Notice the most recent example she can provide happened 45 years ago. A lot has changed since then in the media with the advent of cable news channels, their need for 24/7 programming and the politicization of everything in the DC bubble.

I don't think anybody is denying the right to a free press in the US. What they object to is the press being overtly biased and spinning stories to meet their agenda narratives instead of just reporting the facts.

How do you think we felt for the past 30 or 40 years? What Liberals are nutcases. Just because things don’t go their way for one short period of time, the world’s coming to an end. Wonder how we’ve survived this long without liberal leftist ideology in our lives?

You could make it better by retiring Ruthie.

There is a way.

Same as a president.

Impeached by HR, tried and convicted by Senate.

Well, I was assuming that Justice Scalia’s replacement, the erstwhile Justice Gorsuch, would be in situ before Ginsburg finally strokes out. That wouldd make it 5 to 3 until her replacement, someone who is a constructionist and AWAKE, would then make it 6 to 3.

I see, within Trump’s presidency, a third nomination that would place us in good standing at 7 to 2.

Impeached by HR, tried and convicted by Senate.

Ugh.
So this makes the ultimate arbitrators of what is constitutional and what is not, Congress.

The first uni-party-with-super-majority Congress could eviscerate the supreme court and let their President repopulate it with hacks?

Think of what the press has done in the United States,” she said citing the Watergate scandal. “That story might never have come out if we didn’t have the free press that we do.”

It was a media coup against a president they despised. They ignored far worse from leftist presidents like Johnson, FDR, and Wilson.

Justice Ginsburg, when awake, demonstrates serious cognitive difficulties. She is at the end of her useful life. There’s no doubt that she will die in office, and I have witnessed two elderly relatives die after a very rapid descent into non compos mentus at the end of their lives.

She should be thanked for her service, given whatever trinket they give retired justices, and allowed to sleep sitting up until she crosses over. What WILL happen is the spiral she is descending into increases pitch and velocity and is increasingly unable to function. She will be found one morning by her handlers and that will be that.

Trump will nominate another strict constructionist and the liberals will lose their minds. Trump can wait as long as he needs to—at that point the court will be 5-3 conservative and can hold in that pattern for a very long time.

If she's found with a pillow over her head she's the one that probably got it stuck there and couldn't figure out how to get away from it.

Ginsburg: "I read the Washington Post and the New York Times every day, and I think that the reporters are trying to tell the public the truth."

Yeah. And pigs are trying to fly, too.

We need to start looking seriously at ways of removing judges that do not follow the constitution

It's called "impeachment."
