President Trump made an unannounced trip Saturday evening from the White House down Pennsylvania Avenue to Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C.
According to press pool reports, the president is dining at the hotel, though an administration official would not say who he is dining with. Trump's public schedule had no events planned for the day.
Photos and video posted to social media appear to show Trump with his daughter Ivanka Trump and being cheered by onlookers as he walks through the hotel.
Independent Review Journal's Benny Johnson tweeted that after the Secret Service swarmed the place, Trump sat down to eat with Ivanka, her husband Jared Kushner, Florida Gov. Rick Scott (who had lunch with Trump earlier) and former U.K. Independence Party leader Nigel Farage. Johnson added that Farage was not invited, but arrived last minute, and that Secretary of State Rex Tillerson was dining with his wife across the room.

I think you’re a fraud. You have not shown one scrap of evidence that Ivanka is “Thwarting” Trumps conservative agenda and this has been indicated numerous times by your and the other poster.

I believe the OP is expressing a concern over what could be happening now, given especially Ivanka’s efforts and involvement. Perhaps a bit of hyperbole for effect, but I get what the expressed concern is, for sure.

It's hard to disagree. Her initiatives against human trafficking are excellent; I wish she would stick with that. The other things that she and hubby are for mostly runs counter to President Trump's agenda. I also wonder if she should choose between her position in the WH and her brand.

That would be up to the individual who is making these reckless accusations. And that would be you.
You are forgetting the fact that Ivanka and her husband have assisted the campaign in several ways, He with data base skill and she with an appeal to women (the childcare entitlement you spoke of) which went a long way to silence the “Trump hates women” theme of the left.
This is not to say that you do not have a valid point, the Ivanka family is more left than the president but the president may be in office because of the appeal of his daughter.
Trump has attempted to split the democrat party in several ways, Ivanka and her husband are part of that movement and part of the family. I have come to terms with this, and think the concept is genius. Trump does not have to be all hard right to appeal to me.
I have not seen anything that tells me Ivanka is not for her father’s agenda, or that she does not support him sincerely. However her position in the administration may secure votes that Trump would not have without her.
Maybe we need some more time to see how it works out.
OK, since I seem to have started something here let me say this. I am 100% behind Trump. It was our last chance to save the country and praise God we won. I would take back the word thwart. Do l believe Ivanka has slowed down and maybe even steered the agenda a bit? Yes l do. Trump is his own man to say the least but he does have a soft spot for Ivanka so it’s a pity she happens to be a liberal which hurts the cause. There is ample evidence to show that she and husband are edging some things to the left.
In balance l am delighted with Trump so far. My biggest fear is the deep state ongoing coup which is under way. This is where the real danger is.
I also have a problem with her role in the administration. It is undefined. Has Ivanka been sworn in as a member of the administration? She is calling and meeting with members of Congress ... is she a registered lobbyist? If so, she can't be lobbying from the WH.
If she's not a registered lobbyist or sworn-in member of the administration, what gives her the authority to do what she does? To whom is she accountable? I certainly didn't vote for Ivanka Trump's "personal issues".
Imagine how we would react if Chelsea was pushing tax policies in meetings with members of Congress, meeting with business members to discuss the government's involvement in women's equal pay, influencing language in Presidential directives ..... all because her Mommy said she could work on "issues that are important to her".
Ivanka needs to make new friends and concentrate on her family and building her own life. One Kushner in the administration is more than enough.

Yes, apparently he hired the right people to help reinforce the ground game in short time, and as I have previously pointed out, I think he could be helpful with the Israel issue. I really love the glimpses of what it sounds like Bibi is putting together through some quite cooperation with some Arab states—and Jared’s attention from the US could be helpful.
From what I have read and heard, Jared has put his thumb on the side of the GOPe hiring in the WH, which I think is massively problematic, however. As IMO is Ivanka’s messing with and bogging down the tax bill.
Maybe more importantly their presence in all sorts of meetings with foreign leaders, in legislative meetings, etc., could provide a really vivid picture of Trump comingling government and business, however, if he hits a rough patch, the Democrats take back Congress, etc. I can’t believe that their contributions in the positive outweigh the dangers of such appearances down the road.
And personally, I’d rather see outreach to previously Democratic, particularly female, voters be based on the communication and spread of conservative and constitutional principles—not idiotic and Leftist pandering.

Do you think for one minute that Someone has already searched the WH form top to bottom ,very crack and crevasse for hidden bugs. Would it be possible that some of the bugs were internationally left in place for specific info to be leaked. Would that not be controlling the info or press? Think out side of the box. That is what TRUMP Does!
