I am cheering for this only because it would mean a red state beating California at something.

Grimes County is the site of a Brazos Valley passenger station, a midway stop on the 240-mile line between the states top metro areas.Huh? More like 3/4 of the way from Dallas to Houston. Hardly midway.

'To date, options have been negotiated representing about 30 percent of the parcels estimated for the potential route.'
They will end up stealing a large amount of land with eminent domain.

You have to wonder if this projects’ planners also believed 100% that HRC would win.

it is noted that 70% of the property options have not been secured nd the price on them continues to rise

They need to quit pouring all this money into high-speed trains and instead focus on flying cars. We were definitely supposed to have flying cars by now.

I might support this between Phoenix and Tucson. There are already existing SP tracks between the two cities & that stretch of I-10 is very crowded.

Better Yet save money and kill the train!!!

Considering how poorly people maintain their cars and how poorly they navigate in just two dimensions, it promises to be entertaining.

This bullet train is really terrible. It’s owned by a foreign company.......funny they never mention that. And it will definitely affect property values.

Those 3-d round-a-bouts will sure be fun.

I have no problem with high speed trains so long as not one damn dime of taxpayer money is spent on it and land owners are compensated fairly plus a little extra money on top for them.
