They said statements Mr. Trump had made as a presidential candidate, including his call for “a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States,” helped doom the executive order.

“Trump’s campaign promises are his contract with the American people, and is pure politics. Politics is outside the purview of the courts, PERIOD!
The only items the court should be using in their analysis of the Executive Order, is the Order itself and relevant law.
As long as Trump operates within that law, they should stop not a damned thing he orders Yet they have.
Trump should ignore them publicly, vocally and very forcibly. Read the simple law again to the American people and tell the judge to do his damned job, and let Trump do his.
He is a co-equal branch and the law is on HIS side!
It’s a little akin to opening him up to lawsuits for not keeping campaign promises as well.
Judge is a hacktivist tool.
All of a sudden these activist judges are originalists that consider the intent of the author(s) rather than textualists that interpret that plain meaning? If campaign rhetoric is to be used against executive orders and laws signed by the POTUS, I have no idea why Congress I is wasting time repealing/replacing Obamacare... just get a judge to order a hold based on Obama’s rhetoric! Heck... for that matter, most taxes can be thrown out too!
Those statements have no place in the courtroom. Period.
Actually it would open all politicians up to lawsuits based on their campaign statements.

This is so stupid, taken to the limit, a conservative cannot ever be president if elected, because if judge can ascertain his thoughts and heart are not liberal progressive enough then his authority is illegal ... that's what is being alleged.. trump committed a thought crime , therefore Obama and Carter can pass these laws but Trump cant...! So stupid .. ...

When Obama said Obama are was NOT A TAX to the people and defended it as a tax in court that was fine, but when Trump called radical Islam a security issue not knowing whose coming in, that becomes a sacrilege?
We don’t have courts following the Constitution.
Why hasn’t our Attorney General directed the US Marshalls to arrest these Judges and charge them with treason? After all their actions are putting American lives at risk!
