Cinco de Mayo (thanks Wikipedia).

Cinco de Mayo (pronounced: [ˈsiŋko ðe ˈmaʝo]; Spanish for "Fifth of May") is a celebration held on May 5. The date is observed to commemorate the Mexican Army's unlikely victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862, under the leadership of General Ignacio Zaragoza.[1][2] In the United States, Cinco de Mayo has taken on a significance beyond that in Mexico.[3][4][5][6] In the U.S. the date has become associated with the celebration of Mexican-American culture. In Mexico, the commemoration of the battle continues to be mostly ceremonial, such as through military parades. In the United States, Cinco de Mayo is sometimes mistaken to be Mexico's Independence Day—the most important national holiday in Mexico—which is celebrated on September 16, commemorating the Cry of Dolores that initiated the war of Mexican independence from Spain.[1][7]

For this gringo, the 5th of May is just another workday, a Friday this year. Not a day I was planning on celebrating some Mexican army beating on the French, while American citizens were killing each other to free the slaves (among other reasons) here in America.

If the Left thinks they can drive a wedge between Deplorables/citizens and President Trump, they are still mistaken.

Oh Noes! However will I be able to march through the streets of Philadelphia, get drunk, waves flags, and mill about with my fellow someones, all in tacit support of illegal criminal alien invaders who only want to celebrate their country's history, in the wrong country ?!?

They cancelled an event that is not on the radar of most out-of-work or poor American citizens, of any color.
