I don’t care myself if he goes there every weekend and can’t blame him at all (DC doesn’t love Trump), but yeah, the Dems will use the optics against him by naming programs he cut juxtaposed with money spent at Mar-A-Lago if he goes every weekend. That’s an argument the left is using a lot.

Personally, I love that he leaves the Swamp every weekend.
The place is so filled with evil. According to reports, the WH is a drafty, cold, fly-infested structure. Who would want to be stuck there all weekend, usually by himself? ...And especially after consistently working two and three times as hard as everybody else during the week!
I don’t begrudge this amazing man ANYTHING. I want him comfortable, and in a good state of mind, at his beloved Mar-a-lago. A happy, healthy president reaps benefits for us.
I understand it, but it’s already the latest leftist talking point juxtaposing costs spent traveling to Mar-A-Lago vs. cuts of various social programs. Now they didn’t care about Obama’s expenses as long as he kept and expanded government programs, so there is irony there. However, I’m just saying that you can bet that come 2020 the left, who will be trying to win back working class voters, will present a tally of programs cut and Trump’s travel expenses (especially if they exceed Obama’s).
Now one thing he could probably do is spend more time at Mar-A-Lago instead of just going for the weekend, especially if Congress is not in session. Have it set up like Bush did with Crawford. With the multiple attempts to breach the White House recently, he could be safer there anyway.
Good idea re: extended stays @ Mar-a-lago. Very good idea.
I am sure the Communist revolutionaries will be pulling out all the stops come next election. They will criticize everything. Just the fact that he BREATHES offends them. The depth of hatred is truly sickening.
I’m really glad PDJT is doubling down on his work and accomplishing so much in such a short time. Hopefully, when people start getting back to work with new jobs, they will see what a great job he has done, bringing America back from the brink....and will laugh at the prospect of a President Pocahontas ~ ha!
Trump has called it the Winter White House so presumably after April or May it will be back to New York. Just hopefully not every weekend. Spending hundreds of millions on vacations isn’t the wisest idea for any leader no matter who has done it before and will garner him plenty of criticism on both sides of the aisle.
