Reading through these posts (and some on other threads) makes it very clear how little loyalty Trump can expect from many of his “ardent supporters.” Many all-or-nothing, never-compromise, doctrinaire types will turn on him if he doesn’t do exactly what they demand 100% of the time, no matter how much he has done for them or how much better he was than the alternative—and then they will pat themselves on the back for their integrity if they help cause Trump’s defeat and get a radical leftist in power instead.
Trump is a pragmatist who actually wants to get things passed and enacted, rather than putting on shows of purity that have no chance of going anywhere, and that alone—his unwillingness to play worthless political games that everyone expects to see—has already caused people to turn from him and his agenda for the country. This will only mean retaining more of the Obama agenda instead.

The content of legislation matters.
The Freedom Caucus saved the Trump presidency form a horribly draconian piece of legislation designed to favor only the Insurance and Big Pharm lobbies. Trump needs to learn that he might be able to do that with just about anything else on hhis agenda, but not with Healthcare.
You want a bill passed, Mr. President, don’t try to get it passed like Nancy Pelosi did. We had that experience - no thanks.
Are you there to drain the swamp, or what? Why are you taking the side of the swamp creatures, and against the few who still uphold the principles that made America great in the first place, the principles that will be absolutely necessary to uphold if that is to happen again?
The Donald is correct. Dems are smiling. But not only in DC, they are smiling everywhere. I just pray to God that the FC doesn’t derail tax reform and the building of the border wall. Then the Dems would be dancing a jig.
