Didn’t our POTUS warn us recently to NOT believe everything we read in the MSM?
We voted out the sitting Majority Leader who was supposed to be Boehner’s successor to the Speaker’s chair.
The weasel Eric Cantor
I would name a “czar”, let him get all the pubs in the House together and go over the health care coverage point by point with each congressman signaling up or down.
For example, “Do you want options to sell health care insurance across state lines - yes, no or not important to you?”
Tally what you find out and then craft a bill that is certain to pass.
Next, the czar holds meetings with the insurance lobby and the Democrats in congress to gather their reactions to what is proposed. Woo those in each that can be persuaded to support the plan - health care industry people so you can use them to rally support and Democrats to see if you can find some extra voters in case they are needed.
The czar then reports back to the President what he has before the president rolls out his new health care plan. And then Trump can announce a plan that a) the Republicans in the House support and b) the health care industry can endorse.
The health plan is no good is it fails. Now, the Republicans in the Senate are a different audience but I think Trump can jawbone 50 votes once he has it passed in the House.
Then let’s hope Rand can sew this up for us today!
He is really becoming one of my favorites. I take him as genuine in his positions and not one who can be bought off.
I agree. Ryan is one sorry excuse for a man.
“Considering how Obama and company gathered intel on folks we cannot dismiss that theyve got something on him and are blackmailing him to preserve as much of Obamaharm as he can.”
Trump seems to be in this too, threatening FC and aligning with Ryno. Is he being blackmailed as well?
I’ll dust off my dump Ryan dump truck and prepare for the next round.
None of the leadership in the GOP wants ObamaCare dismantled - yet. And strictly in political terms, why would they? Since ObamaCare became law, Democrats have lost 1,000 legislative seats nationwide. It’s been the gift that’s kept on giving to the GOP everywhere. Small wonder then why they don’t want it dismantled before 2018, when 23 Democrat Senators are up for reelection, and 10 of them in states Trump won. Defeats of just 8 of the 23 means the GOP Senate will be filibuster proof. Small wonder then that they want ObamaCare to hang around a while longer yet - especially if it implodes this year as many predict it will. That monstrosity has nothing but Democrat fingerprints all over it. Let them own it.
By January 2019, you could well have 60+ GOP Senators, meaning they can do anything and the Democrats will be powerless .to stop it. Major tax reform? Done? Free market Health Care? Done. And a whole host of wish list things Trump will sign.
Think about what? Is Obamacare still law? Is PP still funded? Maybe that is what they are grinning about.
Watta bag of Bronx BS he is...
This guy doesn’t even know what he voted on 15 months ago. That was not clean repeal. AND it was structured to get through Reconciliation. Go back and read the articles from house.gov that discusses that vote. The phrasing was “defunds many of the features of Obamacare”. Not erases all of its text.
Or he MAY know all that but is just feeding you red meat to chew on.
I don’t remember a lot of people say “replace” Obamicare, but I do recall a lot of people wanting it repealed! Most, if not all, of the pubbies promised to REPEAL damn thing, not massage it!
I don’t know about that. Guaranteed Issue and Community Rating drives them out of business.
The bill has bailouts for them.
‘No one wanted the job’
Here is an actual Rep [at the time] disagreeing with you:
When asked who will run for speaker, Rep. Tim Huelskamp, R-Kansas, said: “Everybody! But the establishment lost today.”

True.
Sure its a big deal. If I am a small employer offering health insurance why should I be forced to cover adult children? Why should any private enterprise including an insurance company be compelled to confirm to your vision of beneficial. Once we start down the road of the government mandating everything that is “beneficial” were does it end? You disagree , like Trump, with the substance of 0’Care but agree in principal.
The public knows that President Trumps biggest problem is Paul Ryan, not the Freedom Caucus. This poll proves it:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3540125/posts
1)Ryan is bought and paid for by his wife whose estate is worth 6.5 million dollars , she and her family are democrats.
2)Secondly Ryan is bought by the Insurance and Big Pharm Lobbies. In Particular Northwestern Mutual, a Milwaukee-based insurance company that also offers financial services. All but eight of Ryans 20 biggest backers are in the financial, insurance, or health sectors, CRP data shows.
https://www.usnews.com/news/articles/2012/08/14/the-big-money-behind-paul-ryans-political-career
Paul Ryan tried to screw the People on Health Care, and he will keep trying to screw the people on Health Care.He wants massive profits for his backers. The Freedom Caucus stopped Ryan and exposed him to the People and also exposed Ryans agenda to President Trump.Ryan does not care one wit for the People.Ryan is a man made by his wifes fortune, not from his own effort or intelligence, or popular support from the electorate. He bought his way through lobbyists.
President Trump needs to turn that Ryan rig around, or he will become the lamest duck in presidential history. All the president has to do is rely on the People. It wouldnt take much.
BUT ASK YOURSELF THIS: WHY IS RYAN SO ROOTED IN “HIS BILL?”
The insurance Companies are drooling over the Ryan bill because they now have a market which has trained their clients to be accustomed to $6000.00 to $10,000 deductibles.
Those deductibles will never go down if the Insurance Companies have their way in the Ryan bill, their profits will skyrocket.
We need interstate Health Insurance competition badly. Without that we will have no equitable health insurance for the people with 1000 dollar deductibles or $500 deductibles as we should have and indeed, had in the past.
God Bless the Freedom Caucus.
Ryan and all the GOPe swamp dwellars see taking total control of govt not as an opportunity to fix Obama care with free market solutions but as a means of consolidating power and removing donors from the Rats and moving those donor dollars to the GOPe side of the ledger.
