Overtime costs are a burden to taxpayers. They were when Obama was prez. Ditto ffor 45. I’d be curious to know if there’s an uptick in revenues during 45’s visits. If so, does that offset overtime costs. If not, taxpayers are on the hook. 45 should keep that in mind. Tax dollars should be sacrosanct, no matter the income of the taxpayers.

I’d be very, very surprised if there’s anything close to an uptick, given when I think I know about local taxation.
The Feds should contribute to Palm Beach county costs
A helipad has been installed at Mar-a-Lago so that Trump can fly in from Palm Beach International, and thereby avoid some of the costs and inconvenience of road closures.
The people who are demanding the tax surely know this, and they are just trying to shake the money tree.

Which begs the question of just how much running around is Trump going to do? This is alot of bucks, regardless how short a trip.
I can’t imagine his presence is causing any kind of increase in tourism/revenue.

Frankly I think Trump spends far too much time with these extraneous visits and playing on his mini-computer.
I like many things about him, but some of this is truthfully just as unseemly as Uhbama and Klintoon.

I don’t see why the locals have so much cost for this. If the FedGov doesn’t agree in advance to reimburse the extra security, then just don’t provide it. Let them do their own thing. Don’t spend the extra money if you don’t know if you’ll get it back.
