Trump is facing the reality of what he nows knows about what is really happening in this country and in the world. There is a reason that most presidents age so quickly during their time in office.

President Trump has NOT rescinded Obama’s executive orders and actions giving amnesty to illegal aliens. This was a repeated day one promise. Worse, because these have not been rescinded, the government, Trump’s administration, is now issuing more amnesty based on Obama’s executive orders and actions.

I agree that he is having some success and I hope to see more, but the attacks on fellow Freepers who express doubts are over the top, particularly when followed by statements that President Trump can do no wrong.

By calling China a currency manipulator, Trump created a bargaining chip out of thin air. Then, it seems, he cashed it in, in return for China’s cooperation on N. Korea (or, at least their passive acquiescence to any future U.S. actions — which is also a big deal).

I assume every decision he makes goes though a cost / benefit analysis with all the pertinent facts (least in his head) like any businessman would do.
He runs his thought process though his trusted advisors to check himself and makes a decision...
Bottom line he will do what’s best for the country...

I’m not...I’m just very used to being and living around non-ideological people (I have my own ideological bent, but I try to remember that there are practical limits in the real world to ideological approaches). Eisenhower is a pretty good example of a non-ideological type...though very different than Trump, he’s not a bad gauge for what to expect a Trump presidency to be like.
The reality is that illegal immigration is down 70%. The "dreamers" who have no committed other crimes are a very low priority, and Trump has his priorities straight.
