Bed bugs are taking over Paris - and some in France just itching to blame American tourists. You may have seen the signs of the recent bed bug take over of Paris without even realizing it.

Mattresses abandoned on the streets, exterminators parked outside hotels around the city, your colleagues scratching at their legs under the table...

Makes you itchy just thinking about it, non?

But it's no laughing matter, with Le Parisien newspaper saying Paris is in the middle of an "explosive phenomenon" right now.

One property management group in the capital, RIVP, says that it's almost every day that a resident has to ditch an infested mattress.

"It's been like this for two or three years," RIVP manager Olivier Perret tells the paper.

"And we think they're coming from north America."

Yeah, OK. It's the 'Muricans bringing filth and disease to Paris. I'm sure that's it.

If it is “Americans” I am sure it could be traced back specifically to “Un-Documented Americans”....

You know Americans who lost their passports apparently...

This from the people who invented cologne and perfume due to their infrequent bathing routine?

Well I guess there are some things TSA will allow Americans to carry overseas.

Yeah just like the Americans spraying graffiti all over the city.

In Arabic.

Yeah that’s the ticket.

Yep. Those millions of Muslim refugees had nothing to do with it.

We were in Paris two years ago.

So, they would rather blame Americans than the smelly, unwashed refugee rabble hawking armloads of cheap Eiffel Towers?

OK, wasn't going back anyway...

They have nothing to worry about. When their beloved muzzies burn the sh*thole, the American bedbugs will be eliminated.

When the Germans retreated from Paris without burning it first, they must have known it’d be a bigger nuisance intact than in ashes.

I spent three weeks there before the muzzie invasion. I loved it but...I would go in those bread shops and think...oh thats not very hygienic when looking at it rubbing up against stuff etc.

Now..no way I would go to paris

And lest we forget, they don't shave their legs or armpits! But french women have naturally appealing accents (to Americans their accents sound sexy). So maybe it's a wash (pun), at least in the case of the women.

I get your point, but the Germans (especially from the city of Cologne) will be offended that you gave credit to the French for the invention of Cologne!

I had to laugh when I read this -- it reminded me of the "Muslim migrant" riots from April 2016 just outside of the metro entrance at the Stalingrad metro stop (middle of Paris) and all the mattresses in the middle of the street, where they were encamped.

I’d love to know who’s working in the hotel laundry rooms, or linen services.
