We don’t want to overtax your Harvard Law School brain.
The immediate purpose was to kill as many ISIS scumbags as possible while wrecking as much of their tunnel and logistics network as possible
The “overall” purpose is to weaken ISIS as we kill ISIS fighters and leaders, degrade their tunnel and logistics network, and make it harder for them to kill us. Fewer of them means fewer innocent people get killed, got it?
