A top New York Times editor decided the paper shouldn’t use the term “female genital mutilation” because the phrase is too “culturally loaded” and widens a divide between the Western world and “people who follow the rite.”
Health and Science editor Celia Dugger said she came to the conclusion to refer to the act of removing the female genitalia of young girls as “genital cutting” during a trip to Africa in the 1990s. She spoke about her decision in a Times mailbag article in response to a reader’s question.
“I never minced words in describing exactly what form of cutting was involved, and there are many gradations of severity, and the terrible damage it did, and stayed away from the euphemistic circumcision, but chose to use the less culturally loaded term, genital cutting,” Dugger wrote. “There’s a gulf between the Western (and some African) advocates who campaign against the practice and the people who follow the rite, and I felt the language used widened that chasm.”

For feminists genital mutilation is like abortion. It is not going to happen to them so it is a Right. It is why they uniformly oppose the capital punishment. They know in their bones that they are transgressing the laws of nature and feel that they could be punished for it and for the other crimes they contemplate. They can imagine themselves on death row. They are already alive and grown and cannot be aborted so abortion is a Right.
women being molested and mutilated and regarded as less than human by Muslims....is not THEM so it doesn’t matter.
Let’s rename the New York Times as the “New York Weasels” and a Yahoo as a “Jonathan Swift Turd Carrier” (Read “Gulliver’s Travels”).
Female circumcision? What in the Hell.
The only complaint I have ever hear about “male circumcision” is that it enhances sensitivity and heightens pleasure.
It does not eliminate either altogether. These poor women now have a diminished existence.
Furthermore, the only issue with the term “female genital mutilation” is that has rightfully become a Muslim-specific term.
Can’t have that now, can we?

The feminists movement is a just another “elephant” in America’s living room. They, in no way, care about the well-being of women and even less about children. They are revolutionaries who want to overturn everything natural to men, women, children and families. They see themselves as dominating in this society and they think they can use the values of “real” women, when convenient, to hypocritically, eliminate those who oppose them, which are usually white men. I ran into their ilk while still getting my education. When I completed my degree, I had already been happily married for sometime and had a family. One of my classmates who represented the feminist view got me aside one day and told me that she was disgusted by people like myself and that being married for a long time and happy was just a lie and her hatred for me as she said that, I remember to this day, every time I see people like Ashley Judd and Madonna spread that hate to the masses. They seem to be winning now, but when the next big war comes, all of that will change.

I noticed yahoo this morning called it “female circumcision” - as if there is such a thing.

Circumcision is a total distortion of FGM where the female homologue of the male penis, as well as other surrounding tissue is totally excised and removed.
Male circumcision is ok though?
“Cutting” is a euphemism, as is “circumcision.” Organs are actually removed completely, and the vaginal opening is actually sewed closed.
