Sadly, all of these precise numbers and logic mean nothing. Image is everything, and Chuck Schumer is currently controlling the image.

He's telling the country that "We can't afford to build the wall", that allocating money for it "will starve women, children and the elderly".

When I say “Cave” I don’t mean it literally. Just tell them you’ve caved and proceed to build the wall anyways. Not sure why a billion dollars being appropriated makes any difference. I think it doesn’t and my guess is Trump has what he needs to get the building of the wall started already. He’s just using this to get other things; that’s what I mean by cave. Put it out there as a must have, then near the end of the process give in and use that “cave” as a way to make sure the military and other things are properly funded.

The wall costs what the Federal government would otherwise spend in 30.7 hours.
