That answer is obvious. It takes away power. If citizens are allowed to keep more of what they earn, they need government less.
Answer: They want to enslave us.
We are way over in the “Region of Declining Revenue” on the right, and everyone knows it.
If Democrats were interested in the Government doing good things, they would cut taxes so the Government would get more money with which to do good things.
Because they demonstrably do not want to decrease taxes to increase revenue to do more good things, one must find the real reason(s) Democrats want to maintain stupidly high tax rates.
Answers include:
1) Control over you.
2) Using Envy and Punishment of the “Rich” to motivate their voters.
Because stupid high tax rates can’t be explained by any Good Government theory.
Democrats’ reasons for maintaining stupidly high tax rates demonstrates that they are knowingly evil.
President Obama was hit with this tax question; decreasing taxes increases revenue. His response was, “sometimes it’s not about logic, it’s about fairness.”
The whole world should have turned around and collectively said, “Huh? That’s flippin’ crazy!” But, not one commentary, to my knowledge, commented on the statement.
It's not about helping the economy or funding the government.

Democrats couldn’t care less about an increase in revenue, all they care about is retaining their voter base to keep them in perpetual power. Then using the same old ploy that it always benefits the so called rich, citing the trickle down economy created by republicans. Has anyone ever seen a “Trickle up” economy? People with money are more likely to spread it around and provide jobs, what is unlikely to happen the other way around.

He is right about the democrats wanting to create more people (voters) dependent on them. And these voters do not understand that cutting taxes will increase revenue, so they continue to vote for the democrats.
