Why he went to Saudi Arabia first instead of Israel bothers me for some reason.

First, it's never been done before, so there's that element of surprise. But the President has several good reasons for doing so.

The President is looking for economic cooperation and partnership with the Arab world ... good for them and good for us.

The President is serious about fighting terrorism at its roots...in his speech he spoke very specifically about the isolation and shunning of Iran and unifying the Arab world in a fight against terrorism.

And POTUS has said he's hoping for a regional solution/peace agreement between the Israelis and Palestinians. Such an agreement must include the Arab world.

I think it's all good ... and part of the larger plan.

I read that Trump was the 1st POTUS to speak at that summit.

I read something the other day that explained that by going the way DJT is doing this, he will fly out tomorrow across SA, directly to Israel.

Apparently this hasn't ever been done before and, from what the article stated, this is to quote Joe- a big f'n deal.

This is true ... it is another first by the President, another breakthrough.

remember that Israel and the Saudis are aligned on the back channels now due to Iran deal. Israel understands that winning over the Arabs/Muslims on terrorism is a greater goal than being the first country to be visited.

The scarf is NOT required for Melania. It is not a first.

And bowing isn't either so again...not a first.

The trip is about diplomacy and obviously, a peace mission.

As far as the plane flight....doubt that it is anything more then an "air space" scenario....and no big deal at all and I doubt it is a first.

I have no doubt the President is taking his cue from Prime Minister, Netanyahu, on the timing of when to move the embassy to Jerusalem.

Because you are not thinking like a deal maker. Israel has been a good friend but to obtain peace in the region the Saudis need to be sure Trump respects them and will treat them as partners. President Trump is doing a very intricate balancing act and appears to be acing it. Israel will be well served if Hezbollah is addressed by the Arab coalition, that is much more important than who is visited first.

Trump's been threading a needle and doing it very well thus far.....IMO if anybody messes the rhythm up along the way it will be Abbas and the Palestinians....who are planning a "day of rage" protest which will assuredly turn violent because that's just what they do....Abbass has the ability to quench that before it gets off the ground...but he won't.

I agree, the Palestinians are the fly in the ointment. Hard to know if they even want peace. The Palestinian people do but the leaders may be making out better the way things are.

Don’t let it bother you....the idea is if you want to set the pace for peace go to those with the greatest power to make that happen.....The Saudi Royal family wants to retain their power in the ME.....some of the wealthy religious Imam’s within the Saudi government wants control ( As Osama Ben Laden did) and the Royal family disappear. Trump just returned the Power of the ME back to the Royal family and out of the Imams hands as well as Irans.

Thus the Huge Reception for Trump there.....it was said they needed to pull of something huge and dynamic that would set the stage for peace throughout the ME.....and in opposition to Iran.....that was accomplished.

Now for the rest to follow.....but Trump dropped into the Muslim Worlds leaders lap...THEIR..problem of violence throughout their nations is up to them to fix.

Iran, Hezbollah and all the other terrorists groups recruit out of the Palestinian population to do their dirty work...they pay families money to raise their kids to kill....and reward them when they do.

Even though Jordon is a Palestinian nation Jordon kicked them out because the Palestinians in Israel are nothing but a problem whereever they live..like hood rats here in the states that never get further than the next welfare check while they rob the grocery next door for their next high....

Nobody in the ME wants the Palestinian people because they’re just that bad!
