On to the medical use. If it works, great. Lots of medicines are derived from, or are synthetic versions of, plants found in nature.

In this case it appears that medical benefits were researched only as an aside to legalization/decriminalization efforts. It makes one wonder what other medical uses might be found from other plants which are ignored as they don't have the negative attention that marijuana has.

For Veronica, CBD provided more relief than all the other mainstream pharmaceutical interventions she had endured, and without the scary side effects. But ultimately, it was a temporary remedy for her complicated basket of neurological and physiological conditions.

Would appreciate if there are any public updates on her condition that can be shared.

He was obviously too stupid to live.

To blame pot for that is naive at best.

These pro marijuana parents drive me nuts. Buy some pot for the kid if it helps a severe medical condition. Doesn’t even matter if it is illegal in your state. You will not find a prosecutor in the country that will press charges.

It is ridiculous to believe that legalized dope smoking is helpful. Especially our teens. Just stop it. Colorado kids smoke the stuff incessantly now. The youth are truly going to pot and we are helping them.

“It is ridiculous to believe that legalized dope smoking is helpful.”

I am happy to report your assertion is false. I’m living proof cannabis has medicinal value. After 20+ years on big pharma meds for depression & anxiety I decided to give cannabis a try out of pure desperation.

Thanks be to God all of my depression & anxiety symptoms have vanished since I began using cannabis in Feb 2015 as medicine. Prior to that I was not a cannabis user nor did I want to become one.

For folks like me cannabis is a blessing!

Two physicians signed off on our daughter’s application for a medical marijuana card

That’s the problem with her rant. You can buy hemp CBD oil without a medical marijuana card. I order it online for my dog. Straight from Colorado in the mail. I tried it for my bad back and arthritis and couldn’t tell any difference. But it seems to work for my adhd dog.

Sounds like you’d be better off just getting a medical marijuana card and eating a brownie or smoking a joint before bed. And there’s nothing wrong with that!!!
I give CBD oil to my adhd dog. I tried it on my arthritis and bad back and couldn’t tell any difference. If I had a card and it helped I’d smoke a joint once in awhile. lol
I have absolutely no problem with marijuana being used for medicinal purposes.

So we legalize the stuff and and promote it for society? C’mon. Kids are truly wasting there lives getting stoned. Much more than prior to legalization.
We are losing a significant part of a generation where marijuana is legal. But we do get to tax it and give the money to our schools.....so there’s that.
If you need pot to relieve pain or mental anxiety then it should be prescribed by a doctor and you go to the pharmacy to get the medication.

Kids were smoking cannabis (they shouldn’t be) cannabis long before it became legal to do so in some states. I recall in the 1970’s in high school smelling the stuff in the hallways all the time every day. I expect 100,000 years from now kids will still be doing crap they shouldn’t be.

We aren’t losing a generation to cannabis but I will submit we are losing many kids due to the over prescribing of adderall & other meds for school age kids. Perhaps next time you make such an outrageous claim you will provide evidence to validate it. :)

If it were legal for a doctor to prescribe cannabis in America I’m confident folks would be much better served. Until Congress changes the law things will remain the same with individual states deciding for themselves whether to legalize medicinal cannabis or to go full recreational use to boot.

CDB is not pot. Stop confusing the issue. It’s as much pot as hemp is. The kid in this story isn’t smoking anything or getting high.

Pot, weed, maryjane, etc, etc are all references to marijauna consumed for its THC. Yet the article refers to CBD. As such I find the title misleading. I would say the majority of conservatives are not opposed in the slightest to "truly medical non-recreational" marijauna use. There is no such taboo. But conflating "truly medical non-recreational" with "pot" paints us with an unfavorable and inaccurate brush, because many of us are by and large opposed to recreational drug use, especially among the youth who jeopardize a lifetime of productivity.

I’m glad you find relief in cannabis. May you never ever run out as long as you need it!

“CDB is not pot.”

CBD is found in hemp & in “pot”. CBD is 1 of at least 113 active cannabinoids identified in cannabis.

I’m all for “big pharma” to step in ,,, they’ll turn it into something ridiculously expensive but they’ll conduct the research... the first step is rescheduling it... Nixon’s FU to the hippies has to go and be replaced with reason.

I’m certain this Conservative mom is speaking for a minority view.

Has anyone considered that pot is mostly a Progressive thing—and that, maybe, the rampant increase in drug-induced fatalities may have a quieting effect on Progressivism? (I’m also certain I won’t get flamed over my view). ;)

“I’m certain this Conservative mom is speaking for a minority view.”

Your certainty is based on???

Cannabis has been used medicinally for thousands of years. Therefore, IMO it’s not a left vs right issue but a health issue.
