We conservatives have been warning for a long time that liberals are not going to like it when everyone plays by the new rules, and – surprise! – they don’t. But guess what? Most of us don’t like the new rules either. Yet it’s ridiculous to expect human beings to remain in perpetual denial about the situation they face, and to forever live under a double standard that results in their faces getting pressed into the dirt.
The hypocrisy has become intolerable, and we have stopped tolerating it. This is just the beginning of the reaction, and - make no mistake – this entire situation is a bad thing. Our society is making choices that can lead only to ruin (and my new novel describing the consequences just dropped).
Lincoln mentioned “the better angels of our nature” – also at a time when Democrats were rejecting the rule of law in order to promote their subjugation of those they considered lesser beings – and the important thing to note is that “angels” is plural. You need two angels, not one angel and one demon. But that’s what we have, and if it doesn’t change we’ll have two demons, and everyone should care about that.

I think the left and Kathy are shocked at the swift backlash..frankly I am too. they didn’t give her a pass. She is getting fired over and over again.
It’s a good sign.
Now if only Melania would sue her on behalf of Barron.
This one tiny hiccup of backlash against the New Year’s cooze is like a boxer who has been knocked down 20 times landing a jab in the 13th round.
It’s a long way to victory.

The answer as always is God. From whom all blessings flow. Our angels and devils do not stand alone. They are urged by God and Satan respectively. But when God is sided with the result may first seem like much pain but it soon is visibly accompanied by much reward.
That’s how to transcend the hate — by letting God do the hating if the overtures of love fail, while continuing to look to God when things seem grim.
And on the way we will discover the heart of God is so genuinely generous that it would put the most ardent “bleeding heart” to shame.
Kurt Schlicter posts on FR (I forget his user name) but if you know him let him know I ordered his new book and as soon as I can get some bars I’ll download it!
What is a Clamper?
FReepers would love to see the bloated, out-of-control EPA cut outright. Frankly, I would too. The resulting outcry, however, would get the cuts rescinded. "Trump wants polluted water!! Trump hates the environment! Think of the children!!!", etc.
So how to get rid of it? Well, first you get rid of the most odious regulations. (check)
Then you cut the budget substantially (check) and put someone in charge that will enforce working standards (check). People - mostly in make-work bureaucratic jobs, and not wanting to actually PERFORM any work - start to leave in droves. (not yet, but then it's not been too long. They're still in the denial/complaining stage.)
A couple of years down the road, the now-toothless agency is left to wither on the vine. Or, it de-evolves into a smaller agency that performs the functions for which it was originally intended. Going away completely would be preferable, but I'd accept the latter.
