Informal is definitely the way to go.
Nah, it's a regional tabloid without many readers.
They're trying to attract attention to themselves.
Putting it in English is wimping out, though.
People are a lot more comfortable with swear words in another language, because they don't pack the emotional punch of words they grew up with.
