On Twitter, she expressed frequent dissatisfaction with Trump administration policies, and retweeted a joke about government leaks, as well as a tweet by famous whistleblower Edward Snowden. Winner is a U.S. Air Force veteran. As a parting gift in November, she wrote, her colleagues gave her a signed and framed photograph of Anderson Cooper, which she showed off in a Facebook post.
“Thank you for your service,” her colleagues wrote on the picture. It is unclear when her daughter might be able to seek bond, Winner-Davis said. “She has a hearing on Thursday about that,” she said.

I very much doubt that, because our whole system of access is based on the need to know. Just because I had a TS Clearance did mean I could go anywhere and look at any classified material I wanted. I could only access material as required to do my job and had to sign for anything I viewed or used.

All of the TS equipment and material I had access to is documented on civilian websites all over the place nowadays. It was actually a shock when I first search years ago and found it. Of course, all of it was based on old analog technology and telecommunications utilizes digital cyber security these days.

She more than likely already had the clearance for her job in the Air Force and the Job posting listed the requirement for a current security clearance.
Even thought I have retired, I still get those kind of job listings from head hunters all the time. The related military career fields that require a security clearance share these civilian job postings for the service members getting out of service.
Getting a clearance can take months. Even filling out the DD form 398 or the civilian request for a clearance can take the requester weeks to gather the information on every location they have ever lived or traveled to along with all the friends or relatives addresses and contact info from places they haven't been to in years. They basically have to provide a history of their life which takes time for the FBI and the authorizing agencies to follow up on. I knew a couple of guys in the Air Force that had to wait six to eight months to get a clearance. That was 1975-1976 though so maybe it is faster now but bureaucracy being what it is, I doubt it.

When I got my TS with SBI, SCI they asked my personal references for more names to check me out. Just short of a body cavity search! I was AFI for months! I worked in a SCIF. 3 cypher lock doors to go to work every day.
