Let's see some evidence (non-theological, on your terms) that Judaic law is the foundation of our rights under the law. None of our nation's founding documents appear to support your claim.

Do you understand the full scope of influence of Judaic Law?

"Influence" is not "foundation." What is your claim and what is your evidence? I have no interest in attempting to nail Jell-o to a wall.

Does an AG need to ask permission to prosecute a crime?

He needs funding - which is at Congress' discretion under the Constitution. Checks and balances, and all that.

It's a WASH POST news article.

It would have a VALIDITY factor of 1% at best.

The longer the report remains undisputed by the administration (or anyone else) the likelier its truth becomes.

Marijuana should be regulated by the government.

Your argument seems to be that individuals should be allowed to put anything of their own choosing into their body.

My response to that argument is legal philosophy historically inclines in the other direction, starting with Judaic Law.

Total agreement on research. I really think that verified research purposes should be allowed to import/buy/transport (whichever applies) all of the marijuana they need without the onerous restrictions that are currently applied. For example, it currently cost an incredible amount of money (thousands?) for a half ounce of Federally legal marijuana.

Even if Congress continues to make it illegal, hampering objective research does no good for society.

Should be left to state governments. You are applauding Sessions wanting to overrule state decisions.

Your argument seems to be that individuals should be allowed to put anything of their own choosing into their body.

Your argument is you wish to tell me what I can and cannot do in that regard. Which makes you a nanny-stater, right up there with Bloomberg and his soda taxes.

Marijuana should be regulated by the government.

Yes, regulated - not banned, which puts it beyond the reach of effective regulation. And that regulation should, according to our Constitution, be done by state governments.

Your argument seems to be that individuals should be allowed to put anything of their own choosing into their body.

My response to that argument is legal philosophy historically inclines in the other direction, starting with Judaic Law.

The Declaration of Independence leans in the direction I stated - and you have still not given any reason to think this is outweighed by the "influence" of Judaic Law in a federal government founded by no Jews and many Christians, whom Christ freed from Judaic Law.
