Admit that their mission is over? NEVER!
NAACP = KKK = La Raza = BLM
Problem is the KKK is near extinct while the others are very active, large, and favorably treated in the old media.
I’m really, really, really, really, really concerned.
Whenever issues of civil rights are discussed in the media, or we mark anniversaries such as the anniversary of Brown vs. board of education, the commentary is always the same.
And that commentary is always :.
We’ve come a long way, but there’s still a long way to go.
It is never discussed what exactly would represent full equal rights or at what point we have done all we can to ensure civil rights or school integration. They consistently tell us that while progress has been made, that it just isn’t enough.
Quicker it dies the better.
It is only a tool of the collectivist to keep the “colored” people in line. Not help them advance to a better station in life.
You’re right. The NAACP was founded in 1909 by a group of mostly white people. It didn’t have a black president until 1975.
And people like Obama and Kamala Harris will keep raising the bar and, if their efforts aren’t rewarded, will keep screaming RACISM. I was accused of being a racist by a cousin in 2008, simply because I didn’t support Obama. The whole 8 years of his ‘reign’ he was teflon, as the epithet of RACISM was a burning tire around the necks of non-believers. The NAACP has stood around and let the crazies label every White as RACIST. Not surprising it is descending in relevance.
I don’t remember whether it was Frederick Douglas or Booker T. Washington once said; and I am paraphrasing here, “If race relations were improved, some people would be out of a job.” I am not sure what the exact quote was.
Booker T Washington had a quote about those who sought to open old wounds, and not wanting the patient to get well. He foresaw the race hustlers like Al Sharpton.
The KKK is dead and that is good. That vile organization today is used by the far left to stir fear and hatred between the races for their own political ambitions and power.
The KKK is dead, The KKK is dead. What is left is totally effectually gone and mostly populated by undercover FBI agents.
The KKK is dead and that is good.
Meanwhile quotas, set asides and overall poor treatment of ALL is but a pipedream.
That is true of the Sierra Club, the Audubon society, The Presbyterian Church USA and on and on and on
Then and worse, are the cities strangled by black left wing political control. The archetype is Baltimore.
Problem is the other klans are far worse. The African and Hispanic klans are lynching and killing nonmembers on a daily basis. BLM lynched how many law enforcement officers? I’ve lost count.
Have you been through Detroit lately?
The NAACP needs to be killed along with the Black Caucus and the thousands of other race based groups.
I am a student of The Wire.
The Wire is my standard reference
A decade after the series aired on HBO, the people depicted showed up for real. I am rewatching year 5 now and it is downright scary in it’s prescient correctness
I haven’t been to Deeetroit recently and when I did go, did not visit the bad parts.
The main thoroughfare goes through downtown. My daughter and I went through it about 10 years ago to attend the NCAA wrestling championships in a suburb north of Detroit. The downtown looked like a 3rd world country, like a city run by Africans. Trees growing up through sidewalks, vines all over the buildings, no windows intact, rooftops falling in.
I have seen photos of what you describe.
You speak of stuff. My thoughts are directed toward people.
I highly recommend watching in detail all five seasons of the HBO series The Wire. It is hard to watch because of the language and grit. We should be ashamed that Baltimore is America.
The series does a great job of very detailed insight in to what motivates the various people from street drug dealers to the various city officials and police
