The most recent polls in Georgias Sixth Congressional District special election to be held on Tuesday show the race is a statistical tie between Democratic candidate Jon Ossoff and Republican candidate Karen Handel.
A Fox5/Opinion Savvy poll, conducted over a two day period, from June 14 to June 15, and released on Friday shows an even tighter race.
With only days left until the June 20 runoff, the poll shows Democrat Ossoff with 49.7 percent with Republican Handel with 49.4 percent, Fox5 Atlanta reported on Friday.
Less than 1 percent of the registered voters surveyed are undecided.
The Opinion Savvy conducted for FOX 5 included 537 participants and has a statistical margin of error of 4.2 percent.
Both candidates say the race is too close to call less than 24 hours before the polls open.
Its about where we wouldve expected. Its a dead heat, neck and neck, and is all about turnout. Were working hard to get people to the polls, Republican candidate Handel told WSB after its poll was released.
This race is neck and neck, and over the next four days our campaign is going to continue to work as hard as we ever have to ensure we dont send another career politician to Washington, Ossoff told WSB late Friday.
On Monday morning, President Trump weighed in on Twitter, urging residents of the district to vote for Handel.
The Dems want to stop tax cuts, good healthcare and Border Security.Their ObamaCare is dead with 100% increases in Ps. Vote now for Karen H

MSM and dems won’t shut the #### about this if they win.
We’ll hear about till the next elections.
Pray she wins.
Good.
That means we are ahead....
Indeed but close races sadly tend to go to the dims with their recount shenanigans.
Teams of Democrat operatives with ballot boxes in the hatchbacks of Priuses are standing by.
could be a long night tomorrow, wonder if exit polling is being done..
And dead voters.
At least I’ve read here that Georgia has a good Voter ID law.
The phrase “newly registered voters” concerns me deeply. Demwits at it again.
Chalk up another one for the good guys if its tied in the polls.
Fight back Americans....
Which is why Dems always fights any state wishing to implement voter ID laws, and we know it isn’t about voter integrity and fighting discrimination either.
not a big fan of massive early voting as well..
No of course not.
They could make government IDs free and STILL obama’s sons and daughters wouldn’t go to DMV to get one.
I read on here that this rather insignificant Congressional seat costs $50 million. Politics in itself is a putrid swamp. The left needs this in a desperate way and the Rinos secretly pray for the Rat win.
Of course I want the Republican to win. But even though the media makes this out to be so important and a true bellwether I don’t think it makes any difference at all.
The midterms are 16 months away and it just makes no sense at all that a house race in a small District in Georgia he’s going to foretell how people are going to vote in November of next year.
It has been research done on whether there is any such thing as a Bellwether election and the strong strong consensus is that there is none at all.
MOE over 4% with candidates within .5% and just 1% undecided means this really is anyones race (if poll was done with legitimate demographics.)
My understanding is the the dem is not a legal resident of the district. If so, it should be a slam dunk to challenge and overturn if he squeaks in. Am I missing something?
“I read on here that this rather insignificant Congressional seat costs $50 million.”
I wonder how much of that was blown by Democrats.
Even if they win that seat, it’s mostly nothing outside of a few days of cheering by talking heads. Nobody will remember this race after a couple of days.
I think the Dem will lose, but that’s just me :-). If the Dem loses, then it’ll still be a victory to the numbskulls if the Dem is within 72%.
States can’t add qualifications for federal office. The feds only require residency in the state. The Constitution mentions Senators must be residents, and a number of court cases extend that to Reps. There are other examples of non-resident Representatives.
Don’t let Soros steal the election for a guy that’s never done anything.
