A simple, less than 1 minute search disputes your assertion...

I was not debating whether pilots will still be needed.
But rather the distance of engagement.
Of course pilots will be needed. There is no AI that can replicate human’s dynamic decision process. No sensors that can replicate the fusion between the human eye and brain.
But the idea of dogfights between stealth aircraft with missiles that reach over 100 miles and accompanying drones with their own set of sensors and missiles...seems quite quaint.
Damage control. The deed was already done. I didn’t buy it then and I’m not buying it now.
Have a nice day.
Like I said, the merge will happen and you better have the skills to survive a knife fight in a phone booth.
Next time you are flying your fighter in a multi-bogey environment at the merge, blow it off because we all know a merge will never happen and therefore no need for dog-fighting skills. . .and your ranging is off.
(See earlier post regarding the merge and stealth).
All that has been said has been said. We will trust people out there to decide on their own if dog-fighting skills are quaint and without merit.
We’ll end up needing both.
You’re still an ignorant and intentionally stupid moron.
Have a nice day.
