MSNBC Gives Conservative Radio Host Hugh Hewitt a Show
The Hollywood Reporter ^ | June 22,2017 | Jeremy Barr

MSNBC, which has been soaring lately in both ratings and in advertising prices, is giving radio host Hugh Hewitt his own show, adding another conservative voice to a lineup that already includes Fox News poach Greta Van Susteren and former George W. Bush communications hand Nicole Wallace.

Hewitt's self-titled show will air on Saturday mornings at 8 a.m., starting June 24, as part of an expansion of the network's weekend programming in July. TVNewser first reported the news, which was then announced by the company.

In giving Hewitt his own show, MSNBC is sure to raise eyebrows, considering that the network has been doing well mostly on the strength of left-leaning opinion journalists like Rachel Maddow and Lawrence O'Donnell. NBC News chairman Andy Lack is known to favor hard news, and has programmed the network to feature a broader range of editorial opinions in addition to traditional newsmen like Brian Williams.

Hewitt is not a conservative, he is a vicious never Trump slime ball.

He was given the radio show as a reward for all the lies he told attacking Trump.

He also has an effete nasal twang that makes me want to puke.

I used to listen to his show. His truckling and toadying to RINOs like Ryan and McInsane was revolting. He’s a sycophantic hanger-on that the establishment uses. And then they laugh at him behind his back.

Early in the primaries, Hewitt had Trump on his radio show EVERY WEEK. He let Trump say what he liked, and rarely (if ever) challenged him. It was good for both of them.

I like Hugh for Legal issues and military stuff. He’s strong on both. Many other issues? Not so much.

I don’t get it America. I may hate CNN, but it is the grown up leftist sister of MSNBC. MSNBC is and always has been a running joke of a network. And Maddow has the highest rated show in television? Just left wing screeching and ranting? Is America that far gone? Who are these people that watch her show?

Hugh Hewitt is quite fond of himself and that makes him difficult to throw in with. He is obviously gifted but why can’t he be humble to go along with his intelligence?

Hugh Hewitt is a good guy, but more of a libertarian than a conservative.

He seems honest and sincere - just the kind of guy MSLSD will chew up and spit out. Then again, may be the one eyed man in the country of the blind.
