Rep. Steve Scalise, who was shot in the hip June 14 when a gunman opened fire at a baseball practice of Republican lawmakers in Virginia, has been readmitted to the intensive care unit in serious condition at MedStar Washington Hospital Center, the hospital announced Wednesday night.

Holy Father, please heal your servant Steven Scalise, quickly and completely.
I wonder how carefully they scrutinized the nurses, CNAs, and others attending him? Republicans should have done some background voting checks for all Scalise attendees! Yet infection is problematic in hospitals. Prayers UP!
I’d be visiting a totally different group of Quacks at a facility with better hygiene.
A little scary, but hopefully it’s just precautionary to avoid infection. Certainly don’t want a sepsis infection or staph.
Not good news.
Sad news. Hope he recovers.
Unless a trauma surgeon has been WELL trained in repairing war-type belly wounds it is VERY easy to miss tiny holes where they should not be. Prayers up for the Congressman!
Father we gather together once again to ask for your help to keep Steve safe and free from infection. We know you will grant his doctors the wisdom to fight this, but there are times when only You can fix the problem. I know that we have asked a lot of You and in the end we know that Your will be done, but if possible please grant our prayer for the recovery of this good man.
I’m tired of hearing the constant whining by the so-called “Journalists” that Trump’s hilarious wrestling video is endangering their lives! Do they even care about the injuries to the G.O.P. baseball players?
He had made progress from being nearly dead. The body reacts to all things. His being up on his feet may have dislodged a fragment or some other change. He has a long road ahead. These types of things may happen
Gee didn’t realize you are his doc.
What we know for sure is that he was on his feet yesterday. How about the dislodging of a fragment that nicked a section that has led to them getting him back down.
We will know more tomorrow
Based on my observations, they won’t b/c it’s not on their “protocols”.
But yes, if I were septic, I would demand they try it - Vit C, thiamine, hydrocortisone have shown great results.
AMEN!
(That was a beautiful prayer.)
Dearest Lord, with all our hearts, Amen.
St.Michael Archangel, defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the Devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray.
And Do You O’ Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, thrust into Hell, Satan, and all evil spirits who wander through the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.
Keep praying.
Even after all the articles & scientific research showing that constant hand washing in medical areas reduces infectious pretty dramatically...... I have not had someone wash their hands in front of me before they sit down.
It should be automatic. Sad & hope he can heal.
Another prayer ping for Steve Scalise.
Could vitamin C save lives in sepsis? These hospitals arent waiting for proof.
After hundreds of trials failing to show benefit of drug treatments for sepsis, could a simple, cheap and effective treatment — high-dose vitamin C — be hiding in plain sight? A respected leader in critical care medicine thinks so, and his hospital system is all in.

Amen.
Mine either. Neither of the doctors of my friends’ loved ones would try out of the ordinary protocols either, and both of them lost their lives. I do not understand why, when all hope is lost, completely gone, they don’t try something that has shown great promise, but hasn’t fit the parameters of the FDA or whichever government group gives the approval. There is literally nothing else to lose. It’s experimental, and sometimes, yes, sometimes these treatments work. Where is the harm in trying? The patient will die anyway. Then at last, one could say that you’ve tried everything. Maybe, just maybe, the *work in progress * treatment will do the trick.
