Families, societies, cultures and nations are based on agreed ground rules of behavior. John Locke called this The Social Contract. Recognizing that Man is not inherently good, we agree to give up a few freedoms in order to live in a law-abiding society that recognizes individual rights. These laws enforce good behavior on both government and individuals whose selfishness and lust for power would take our rights if allowed. Some believe that people can’t handle freedom and must be forced to act against their own freedom “For The Common Good”. This goes back to Plato where a ruling elite decides what best for society and individuals. Plato’s concept is not what America was meant to be.

Our Declaration of Independence says that the people decide their form of government: “Laying its foundations on such principles, and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness…” We mutually agreed on the Rules in our Constitution, and we have an amendment process should we need to make changes.
Other systems reject rule by the people: communism, tyranny by a person or group, or theocracies, who claim authority from God. The various shades of communism from socialism to Nazism vary ONLY in the degree and extent of arbitrary control, but ultimately, a Socialist is a communist who hasn’t got his AK-47 yet, or AS YET lacks the will to use it! Today’s theocracies are found in Islam, and enforced by Sharia law, based on Middle Eastern, medieval traditions, the Q’uran and commentaries on it, and stories about Mohammed, the Hadith. Both Communism and Islam require by law the absolute compliance of both the behavior and the very thoughts of the individual. The individual’s rights and wishes are irrelevant, and if a person deviates from the norm, any force necessary will be used to correct or eliminate him. “There is a way which seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.” Prov. 16:25.
America’s Left comes from the Progressive movement of the 1880’s and believes that government can run people’s lives better than they can themselves. Their actions during WWI were so unpopular and oppressive though, that they changed their name to “liberals” soon after. Today they are proud Progressives again. They supported Soviet Communism, and both Italian Fascism and German Nazism until Hitler attacked Russia. Contrary to what the Left says, Progressivism, Liberalism, Socialism, Communism, Fascism and Nazism are all socialist degrees of the SAME THING! Since the 90’s the Left (along with their propaganda arm, the “Mainstream” media) has not only engaged in the personal demonization of members of the Right, but attempted to destroy our confidence in our Republic, its Constitution, and our institutions. Starting with teaching rewritten history to our kids, they claim that Bush 41 was “selected NOT elected”, despite the fact that the MSM recounted the votes every way Al Gore wanted, and STILL found Bush won Florida’s popular vote! Then they sat on that info to keep the lie going! Attempts to delegitimize the process of Trumps’ election continue. The US Left has in fact abandoned the democratic process and denounces it as illegitimate-unless THEY win! In office, their judges, presidents, and congressmen treat the Constitution as a dead letter.
Today’s Left preaches “Resistance” through both politicians and celebrities, issuing death threats and calls for “all-out war” (Depp, Griffin, Madonna, & Rob Reiner). They support racist murder groups like BLM while demonizing police and allow their ANTIFA thugs riot to stop anyone hearing views they don’t agree with. With their clear incitements to violence, is it any wonder one of their weak-minded liberal Kool-Aide drinkers attempted mass murder on a group of Republican congressmen? Just this morning I saw a meme that said, “If, knowing what you know now, you could go back to 2015 and kill Trump, would you?” At ANY point, have we heard the Left’s leaders call for calm and a rejection of violence? Has ANY of them told their own, as Lincoln did, to listen to “The Better Angels of our nature”?
The Left, tired of snipping away at our constitutional freedoms, has all but rejected the democratic process, and now wants to overthrow our form of government. Again, heard anything contrary from Schumer or Pelosi? Likewise, Radical Muslims hate our freedoms from the get-go. Unlike Muslims who come here for freedom and embrace our system, radicals believe in imposing Sharia on any state they dwell in. They are in perpetual war with any non-Muslim system. The Q’uran allows them, through the doctrine of taqquiah to tell any lie to infidels to accomplish their goals. The Left wants to import these radicals to help add to the chaos, mistakenly thinking, (as the Euro-Left does) they can control them.
God identifies these people who seek only power and for whom the Ends justify the Means.

This is a very important point. Fascism is merely socialism’s extreme right while communism is socialism’s extreme left.
But they’re both 100% socialist and have nothing to do with conservative policy at all.
I’ve found it easier to explain as collectivism or central planning.
