Tobruk is still to this day one of my favorite movies.

Another great scene, from “The Devil’s Brigade” is when Cliff Robertson and the Canadians come marching in with the Pipes blasting “Scotland The Brave”.

Simply an awesome scene... Claude Akins looks up from the brawl with a “WTF?!?!?!” on his face... classic!!!

Victory at Sea! I remember that from when I was a kid.

Beautiful music score.

Indeed. My dad loved music and had the best hi-fi on the block. I ended up being a musician, and when people ask me where i got my talent, I reply, “My Dad played the Stereo Beautifully!” LOL!

“...Dad played the Stereo Beautifully!” ...”

Haha! Nice!

Music is good for the soul. It is a universal language, for sure.

I don't think anyone has posted this one. Judging from their accent, the singers are obviously not speakers of standard Russian.

One can interpret this as an American patriotic song:

In October, in October
We report our victories.
In October, in October,
Our forefathers gave us a new world
(Yorktown in October, 1781?)
The Hymn to Red October
From The Hunt for Red October

I'll just take your word for it.     :)

"Edelweiss" and "Theme From A Summer Place" were played at our wedding 38 years ago.

My bride and I consider them two of our favorite songs.

My wife’s maid of honor sang at our wedding but I can’t remember anything. The whole thing was just a haze.

Hi Fatima.

I think there is something extra special about Audrey Hepburn’s performance of “Moon River.” Nice lead-in to the thread.

I will also mention “Live and Let Die” by Paul McCartney and Wings.

Maybe not my favorite, but “The Days of Wine and Roses” is very beautiful. It’s hard to hear, though, if it makes you think of the tragic movie.

Everything you said is true and Rocky’s theme was and still gives me goose-pimples.
