House Republicans said Tuesday they’ve included $1.6 billion in funding for President Trump’s border wall in their new homeland security spending bill, setting up fight with Democrats who have vowed to block any wall funding — even if it means sending the government into a partial shutdown.
GOP leaders said the $1.6 billion fully meets Mr. Trump’s request to begin wall construction, which includes 32 miles of new border fencing in Texas, 28 miles of levee wall along the Rio Grande Valley, also in Texas, and 14 miles of replacement fence in San Diego.
The bill also adds 500 new Border Patrol agents, 1,000 more agents and officers for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement operations in the interior, and provides enough money to maintain 44,000 detention beds...

So tell me, with the majorities we have, just how are the RATs going to shut anything down without the RINOs complicity?
I believe it’s wishful thinking by the obstructionist RATs.
Many have openly sneered at the mere idea of supporting funds for the wall on the Southern border.
Their masters like the US Chambers of Commerce, Wall Street and the Catholic Church, just to name a few, hate the idea of keeping "undocumented migrants" from our country "for humanitarian reasons!"
Fencing? Levee wall? Sure have moved the goal posts on winning. And who is paying for it again?
So Democrats aren’t for border security. Got it!!
With guys like McCain, who needs an opposition party?

74 miles? At that rate it will take only 30 years to complete. The border is almost 2000 miles long.

I sure hope they vet the companies bidding to build any portion of the wall better than they do the illegals coming into his country. Leave it to Soros to fund any or all of these companies and provide a secret access through the wall.
