In a brief interview with the Wall Street Journal, President Trump ripped into Attorney General Sessions once again. This time, the President cut even deeper, suggesting Sessions endorsed him because of Trump’s success as a candidate, not out of loyalty.
President Donald Trump expressed his disappointment in Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Tuesday and questioned the importance of Mr. Sessions’s early endorsement of Mr. Trump’s candidacy, but the president declined to say whether he planned to fire him.
“It’s not like a great loyal thing about the endorsement,” Mr. Trump said in an interview with The Wall Street Journal. “I’m very disappointed in Jeff Sessions.”
While the President is still mum on his plans concerning Sessions, Scaramucci told NBC News a decision on the AG’s future will be made ‘shortly.’

So will trump lose you if he fires Sessions?
Some of us are not dismayed at Trump’s comments because we learned long ago not to accept them at face value.
Heck — I haven’t seen any evidence that Jeff Sessions is dismayed at Trump’s comments about Jeff Sessions. LOL.
I have had the same thoughts.
That's a very interesting question, and it's so outlandish that there might be some truth to it. If that's the case, then I'd say most of the threads we've seen on FreeRepublic over the last six months are pretty much irrelevant and outdated.
We know why Trump lost confidence in Sessions. Sessions can’t, or won’t, fight.
We are at war for the survival of this nation as it was founded.
We need people who can fight. Lead, follow, or get the hell out of the way.
Sessions for God’s sake do the right thing and resign.

OTOH, Trump could always just fire him privately, without insulting him to the MSM and via Twitter. Is that harsh? Yea. Is that ugly? No. Does it take balls? Yes.

Everyone is forming an opinion of what is going on based on level of knowledge. We just don’t know.
Rush Limbaugh said that since the recusal happened six months ago and Trump should be over it. That is a strange way to look at it, considering that the recusal is responsible for all that is going on with no let up in sight and with Hillary’s campaign aides running the hoax investigation and a good part of the Justice Department.
Thank you, Jeff Sessions. If Sessions were as upstanding as claimed, he would have notified Trump before he was chosen.

Do you really believe JEFF SESSIONS is a member of the Deep State?! Valerie Jarrett et al despise Sessions, and vice versa. This assertion is insane.
I cannot imagine what Trump is doing here. Sessions is an honorable man who backed Trump since Day One. If Trump wants him to resign, all he has to do is tell him so behind closed doors. Why is he humiliating him? I am really concerned and unhappy.

I agree....something is going on that we don’t know about. This has nothing to do with recussal, that bridge was crossed months ago.
I think DT found out something about Sessions, whether it was something Sessions said or did that put into question Sessions loyalty to Trump.

That’s one of the sickest and most inaccurate statements I’ve ever seen from a public official.
Sessions endorsed Trump because he agreed with Trump on the issues more than with any other candidate.
Yes, we know... but when going before the public, intending on replacing Sessions, it helps to add the reason.

I agree. This is very disturbing public behavior. It seems something is very wrong and it seems ominous to lead to this. At least we have Vice President Pence in reserve. This is not winning. I was not tired of winning.
Sessions is not the enemy. He is trying to drain the swamp.
