Oh, shaddup.

You are incessantly negative and alarmist.

Just STFU.

No.

But let me make sure I understand you're point. If after the President has made his feelings about Sessions and his actions clear - recusing himself, not investigating the Clintons, not deserving of loyalty - and Sessions just ignores him and remains as AG then that doesn't make Trump look weak? Really?

Sessions recused himself without even discussing it with the President .That alone is reason to fire Sessions. Plus he’s done nothing not gone after the leakers like Comey or criminals like Hillary.

That statement contains so many incorrect assertions and assertions you could not possibly know, or not know, that I'm wasting no more time responding.

“Firing Sessions is tantamount to interfering with that investigation ... “

Firing the guy who bowed out of the room leaving a power vacuum and leading to this `rat Inquisition cluster ... is whut?

“I easily see CW2 on the horizon “
Me too. And it won’t be very civil.

As you say, if Uniparty gins-up an impeachment ... on any grounds other than President Trump having brought a Squad Automatic Weapon onto the floor of Congress for his SOTU and cleaning House. And the Senate ...

And even then I’m going to give him the benefit of the doubt; in any event, after something like that there won’t be many blowhards left to conduct a trial.
Whatever he does is OK with me and I support him completely.

I agree. I thought that still would leave an open door to the Clinton Foundation, but the witnesses keep dying! But you are right. Surely Trump knows he said that, so if there is some new angle against Hillary he wants investigated, he can’t just request it?

Was Trump in a paper bag. If he wasn’t watching the confirmation hearings some one on his staff would have let him know the direction of the questioning. Jeff Session had no idea the campaign was an issue until the confirmation hearing. Supposedly President Trump was very anxious to get Sessions confirmed wouldn’t he have informed himself how it was going.
Sessions had no choice at that point but President Trump could easily have asked him to step aside right then & there and waited another 3 months without an AG.

Well if it turns out that Sessions is involved in bring the Awan brothers to justice might turn out that Trump and Sessions were toying with the media til this big story went down

Exactly, I think Sessions became Senator during the Clinton Administration. Where he spent like what 19 years in the senate before becoming AG. I had my suspicions about Sessions when he was chosen for AG and thinking about his making friends in the sewer all these years.

Ongoing unforced error by president Trump. Democrats are obstructing his administration - not Jeff Sessions.

‘so if there is some new angle against Hillary he wants investigated, he can’t just request it?’

And you know that Trump didn’t initially approach Sessions *privately*...how?

I once quit a damn good job because of the way the department manager talked to another gal in the department in front of all the other employees. In the middle of the day from her office she was screaming across the room at her. When I went in the next day to give my 2 week notice she asked why. I said.....I might as well quit now because if you ever talked to me the way you talked to _______yesterday I’d knock you out of your chair.

Well, whatever you might say about President Trump's behavior, it sure wouldn't reflect well on Jeff Sessions to openly defy him.

The President—as of right now—clearly wants Jeff Sessions to resign. Can we all agree on that?

Now, given that fact, why would the "gentlemanly, loyal, ethical" Jeff Sessions thumb his nose at the President, at whose pleasure he serves?

If Jeff Sessions doesn't resign, and forces the President to fire him, then Sessions will have deliberately and vindictively made a bad situation worse. And that would be a negative reflection on his character...

The right thing in such situations is to give your boss a heads up.

When it comes to interpreting the law and ethical standards of the DOJ, the president is not the AG's boss. And no one knows what did or did not happen between Sessions and Trump, including you.

Session never endorsed anyone for president other than Trump, and was a very early endorser of Trump, the very first in the senate, and probably the entire Congress.

The point of my post to you was to address whether or not Trump gave reasons for his sentiment relating to Jeff Sessions, as well as his reasons for "I wouldn't have hired him." My impression was that you found Trump did not give reasons, and he should have, or he should.

I think Trump gave his reasons. He's already taken care of what you think he should do.

If you care to reply to me, all I wonder about is whether you think Trump gave reasons for firing Sessions. Not if they are valid or good, not if they were given in an appropriate way, just whether he's given them, period.

As a postscript, lotsa people were making many of these same (Doomed!) noises when Reagan fired over 11,000 striking air traffic controllers after they ignored his order to return to work.
The sun rose the next morning, as usual.
Get to work Jeff, save your job.

DD, I do respect your opinion and always read your comments (however negative they are).

I think you are an honest person but one with a very negative take on life (a natural faultfinder). That said, you are at least trustworthy compared to many never-Trumpers still here.

My point is this.

Don't trust what you read from the WSJ, the NYTimes, or the rest of the lib media. And don't necessarily trust what Trump says on Twitter.

This is war...and Trump is nothing if not an ardent follower of The Art of War.

Deception of the enemy.

Trump's book, The Art of the Deal, was a play on Sun Tzu's The Art of War.

He offered it several weeks ago after Trump's first public outburst. He shouldn't offer it again.

That was then. This is now. The situation has profoundly escalated and deteriorated since "several weeks ago"...
