Who Paid for the ‘Trump Dossier’?
Wall Street Journal ^ | 27 July 2017 | Kimberley A. Strassel

Posted on 07/28/2017 8:28:44 AM PDT by Lorianne

Democrats don’t want you to find out—and that ought to be a scandal of its own. ___ Yet Democrats now have meekly and noiselessly retreated, agreeing to let both men speak to the committee in private. Why would they so suddenly be willing to let go of this moment of political opportunity?

Fusion GPS. That’s the oppo-research outfit behind the infamous and discredited “Trump dossier,” ginned up by a former British spook. Fusion co-founder Glenn Simpson also was supposed to testify at the Grassley hearing, where he might have been asked in public to reveal who hired him to put together the hit job on Mr. Trump, which was based largely on anonymous Russian sources. Turns out Democrats are willing to give up just about anything—including their Manafort moment—to protect Mr. Simpson from having to answer that question.

What if, all this time, Washington and the media have had the Russia collusion story backward? What if it wasn’t the Trump campaign playing footsie with the Vladimir Putin regime, but Democrats? The more we learn about Fusion, the more this seems a possibility.

We know Fusion is a for-hire political outfit, paid to dig up dirt on targets. This column first outed Fusion in 2012, detailing its efforts to tar a Mitt Romney donor. At the time Fusion insisted that the donor was “a legitimate subject of public records research.”

John McCain.

George Soros is a major donor to McCain.

I’m struggling to accept that Sessions is complicit, but struggling harder with why he has to be told what to investigate by the president, but doesn’t investigate it.

Foot dragging.

I erred to believe that Sessions would lay the axe to the vine forthwith. I got a maryjane investigation and confiscation of property distraction instead. Time and manpower busy work.

That is why they had to get rid of Trump. Nobody owns him, and that is a threat to them. But the crimes in governance that take place on an everyday basis are just called “politics”. What happened in these elections are actual CRIMES committed by agencies and their heads, in collusion with the media. The crimes go all the way to the top. They reveal that what is kept hidden under the guise of “national security” is actually a deep-state coup against the US Constitution and the American people.

At this point, our intel agencies should be forced to give public justification for even existing. The white hats within those communities need to step up, need to be given immunity so they can say what is necessary to preserve the true purpose of the agencies - or else the agencies need to simply be dismantled, as the only way to drain the swamp and stop the crimes. From those ashes new security could arise, but anybody within the old agencies would have to be excluded (except any white hats who might have tried to preserve the true purposes) and definite checks and balances would have to be in place.

There will always be rotten players. Our Founders knew that. They knew that the CRUCIAL issue was whether there were checks and balances. Elections are a check on power. Supposedly. With a crooked media and crooked agencies that check doesn’t really function any more. The Tenth Amendment was supposed to be a check, and if it were followed there wouldn’t be reason for foreign or domestic entities to fight over the spoils, because the government would not have the role of choosing the winners and losers. But choosing winners and losers - the definition of government corruption - is considered just normal governance now.

I think the place to start with the public is to show not just CORRUPTION (which the public has accepted as the status quo by now) but the CRIMES of the political parties’ leaders, their allies, and our government agencies themselves. Those crimes were used to put certain people in place who would continue the corruption. Until that happens the law is toothless, the Constitution is dead, and the citizenry is hopeless.

Now that we are getting close to the "guilty," comes a call to "get along together." Apparently collusion isn't a problem, seeing as how they all do it.

The most effective method to combat Russia's intrusions into our political process is to be clear, transparent and honest with ourselves about how the Kremlin operates and what it hopes to achieve. The Trump campaign did not need to collude with the Kremlin for Russia's cyber and covert influence campaign to be considered a serious breach of our electoral process, and hence our national security. The Trump administration and both parties in Congress need to speak with one voice against Russia's attack on our democratic institutions. If they do not, Mr. Putin will have won.

The Russians Were Involved. But It Wasn't About Collusion.
NYT OpeEd by Daniel Hoffman - former chief of station for the C.I.A., worked for over 30 years for the United States government in Russia, Europe, the Middle East and South Asia.

Okay , sing together now, "Trump colluded with the Russians!" The DEMs and GOP have been singing that together for months. All we now is the Trump administration to join in.

Curious timing of this message, by Mr. Hoffman, swamp creature to the max.

If the dots connect between Fusion GPS, DWS, Seth Rich and the Awan brothers, time to bring in RICO against the DNC.

Man I love typing the above...

Does a RICO case allow discovery for the plaintiffs?

But still, once you come to grips with it, that is your point of view, if I understand your posts.

I would be surprised if “Jeb” Bush were not in the mix.

It looks that way, yes.

Sessions has mentioned investigation into several important issues, but not on those who ordered all of it, permitted all of it and paid for all of it. From the Obama crowd, to the DNC, to the dossier, to the Seth Richards death, to DWS.

Trump was howling for weeks, months, for getting the JD started on the FBI & Deep State leaks. Now, we have a lawyer coughed up, at the FBI, finally.

The entire hill are going to have to impeach this president, if the Justice Department doesn’t soon go after the high profile corruption and get them before they get Trump. The clock is ticking.

The UniParty must stop this swamp draining business.

What is needed, to prove there is a case that can go forward with discovery?

McCain, Jebbers and Hillary would be at the top of the list.
However, iirc, it was suppose to have been a primary opponent who was connected to the dossier order.

McCain was the boob enlisted by someone to get it distributed at least to the FBI, to stop Trump’s election.

> it was suppose to have been a primary opponent

That’s one reason why I suspect Bush.

Another would be who has the deep pockets, and who has the demeanor. Again signs point to Bush.

Then it was taken over by Democrats. Bush->Clinton. The anointed ones.
