It’s rather difficult to be thankful for anything about Obama, but I’m a bit frightened about what might have been under a President McCain...
Certainly this: he’d be a one-termer and Hillary would have been elected in ‘12.
It may be a defeat or it may not be. We will know how this comes out when it comes out. DJ Trump is nothing if not devious.

Let’s be honest, if Trump vetoed a piece of legislation (regardless of what it was) that as near and dear to McCain, there would be praise for it (regardless of what it was).
Trump took out the field in the Republican primary in large part by belittling the hell out of them.
As a man, part of me doesn’t understand how Ted Cruz can be remotely civil to President Trump. He mocked his wife’s looks, accused his father of killing Kennedy, and nicknamed him Lyin’ Ted.
Anyway, the point is that approach is bound to create blowback at some point.
