Seems to me I read that it is not up to California

Seems that you've never read the US Constitution. Do you need a link?

How about a poll how many Americans want to be rid of the place?

You'll never see that poll taken. The Establishment won't allow it.

There is nothing in the US Constitution preventing secession. Nothing at all.

Good News! We can loan them the National Guard if it gets really rough,. Otherwise, do on with your bad self California. Just do it. Do it for the children.

There is nothing allowing it, either. Wouldn't you prefer a collaborative approach first? Wouldn't seeking a resolution from the rest of the nation be the preferred path so as to set a precedent for others to follow?

Or do you just want to smash faces?

Love the idea of subtracting all those electoral college votes from theDems, plus getting rid of all the CA Leftists in Congress.

You have it backwards. It is you, the ant secessionist, that want to smash faces. I want CA to leave with my blessing, no war, no strings. It is YOU that is the bully aggressor here.

2/3 are either against or ambivalent. I would guess the 2/3 is really 1/3 and 1/3.

Wow! It took 41 posts before someone finally tossed
the subject of the State of Jefferson into the thread.
Congratulations, you are getting it! If the libtards
want out, this fourth generation Californian says a
hearty “good riddance”! NorCal, less the Bay Area
will divest ourselves of that cancer that occupies the
coastal region. We will ask to be admitted into the
US as the 50th state as California. Some ag counties
located in the San Joaquin Valley will want to join us
and that will be dealth with. SoCal conservatives
will be welcomed. The new nation can call themselves
North Mexico if they choose. We won’t care. We will
provide them with water.....for a price. Our economic
growth and environmental policies will bring business
back to us and we’ll get new ones, many from the new
nation. And, our votes and our hearts will only
boost conservatism throughout America!

My pie in the sky scenario is no less likely to be
realized then the one our libtard are peddling.

...we will defend California to our last breath as a State of the Union.

Amen!

This talk of secession is folly and will never happen. It would be insane on so many levels. Those on here who willingly want to give up the state are sarcastic or delusional.I have very Conservative family members in Southern California who are also lifelong residents. California is run by maniacs and if it takes another Civil War and federal force to make things straight so be it.

And you got that from what? And let's not use the ubiquitous "you," show me exactly what *I* wrote that is bellicose in this matter, or retract your accusation.

If you favor letting CA secede then you are not being bellicose. Any other position is defacto bellicose.

They are also mental deficients in the sense they have poorly developed brain function and clearly are unable to fathom the consequences that their actions today will turn out to be tomorrow.

I don’t think it would much of a war. California imports 25% of its electricity from other states. They also consume 3 times more oil than they produce. It wouldn’t take long before they would all be on their knees if our government chose to cut them off by just flipping a few switches.
